-noted that the Bears' one-sentence statement didnt include any of the usual "we wish him well, hope for speedy recovery, he is welcome back anytime, thank you for your service."

 

concluded that the Bears are distancing themselves from the person and the situation.  Shutting the book on the chapter firmly.

I know that it's not usually acceptable to admit when you're wrong on the Internet or in 2023 in general, but I was entirely wrong in engaging in speculation in this thread. I jumped to conclusions in a desire to score cheap points on a message board and made horrible accusations based on conjecture. I, above all people, should have known better given what I do for a living.

Hard to know what to believe which is  what I think this is supposed to do.  Get social media to be rendered as just hearsay and not as proof in future attempts to sway public opinions on issues that certainly require no rush to judgelment.  I mean that type of vigilante justice without proper fact vetting is what has lead to many horrific behaviors in history.   Top of my head  lynching of innocent people, false imprisonment of innocent people.

Often the innocent people have  been the minorities or a ethnicity that's being cast as scapegoats ala Jews in pre ww2 Germany.

Lot of Misinformation out there. Someone seems to be trying to cancel this Chicago DC.  That may be where his health issues springing from say som lunatic fringe unstable person is targeting this guy which is causing undue stress of possibly high levels that could cause a heart attack or stroke.  It would also explain why he has an attorney speaking on the record, he may be assisting this coach of dealing with some deranged unhinged person.  I know I could see some stalker causing issues that effect health and concern for family matters (safety comes to mind first dealing with a unhinged person if that turns out to be the case).i have no info this is a speculation trying to tie In elements that are being tossed around as facts burst they may just be someone making things up for clicks.

The situation is definitely odd.  It can be so many different things, with how odd it's been I wouldn't rule out anything regarding the DC, because we know so little. We have just enough info to say "somethings up" with a wide range of possibilities...none of which seem good.

 I'm going to just accept its a health family issue as he's stated until any facts that are presented to say otherwise.  And yes I find it curious but I also don't feel the need to know everybody's personal business if I'm not impacted in any way by the lack of info.
