Absolutely agree.  I take my kids to amerks and sabres game and they love it.

I took them to there first bills game last year and we had to leave by half time because of all the drunken idiots swearing and talking ***** to each other through the whole half (nothing they haven't heard before but to have it go on and on non-stop even made me uncomfortable).

Curious if the autopsy comes back that the man died of a heart attack and it wasn't some hit to the mans chest, say the fight was more verbal in nature but very heated and the man went into cardiac arrest if the other person will get charged in any manner.  I'm not condoning even that type of altercation but it is possible the man was not in greatest health and a cardiac arrest could be the cause of death and if the fight in stands was mainly verbal  how would they proceed or would they just bar the other parties from any future games at any nfl stadium, and hope that it may get some fans to modify their trash talking in future?

It was reported he was punched in the face. They MAY Say that brought on the heart attack if it was a heart attack. Again no idea why you ever need get physical in a game. At 53 someone being a jerk to me I just go and grab security and have him kicked out.. I’m too old for that crap.

Alcohol ruins the fan experience for so many who just want to go and cheer and watch the game while a bunch of idiots get liquid courage

I agree, but I would say it is the choices people make, not the alcohol.   Lots of alcoholics out there who think it is appropriate to get shitfaced at a football game.

Maybe 6-7 years ago was at the Pats game at Gillette Christmas Eve with the whole extended family. Only Bills fan in MY group and in that section. Had a blast busting chops with everyone and we were all having fun.

About the third I went down to take a leak.  Some guy way to drunk was getting nasty and started with little pushes etc. ignored him unto he reached around and tried grabbing my junk while I was doing my business.  Kept saying “No ***** no *****”

Had no choice but to plant my fist in his face and luckily dropped him. Pi$$ed on the guy next to me and the floor and then realized I’m surrounded by about 100 drunk Pats fans with junk hanging out.

they kinda laughed and stepped over him and I got the hell out of there.   It was the first time I hit somebody in probably twenty years.

Had to explain to the crew why my hand was bloody and swollen. Nephews still talk about it every Christmas and it’s their goto phrase playing pickup basketball etc.

Taking away the tailgate would help but why should 99% of fans be punished for those can't control themselves.

I didn't see any info on any punches being thrown so yea assault at the very least and it turns into at least manslaughter I imagine as intent wasn't like murder but hard to say.  Really glad I prefer to watch the game at home.  9

fighting for such things is never worth it. it can go too wrong.

unless you're trying to protect someone or there is already trouble don't go looking for it.

I won't go to a Bills game unless I score box seats. Too many drunken idiots in the stands. I have had to defend my wife because the a hole behind us was intentionally spilling beer on her. It's not worth it.

That's awful.  My thoughts are with his grieving family.

It's a sad situation all around.  I'd imagine it also will depend upon witnesses as to who started the fight initially.  If the fight was started by the Dolphins fan who threw the pun c h it is a bit more cut and dried.  If the pat fan started it and initiated some physical pushing shoving  the punch could be viewed as self defense.  I'd imagine any pushing and shoving would be very dangerous as most stadiums seems to have some steep seating that is dangerous even if all parties were sober and getting physical.

Indeed too many people that think they can behave as they wish with no consequences.  You almost wish that the man who died was the instigator and just picked the wrong time to be an idiot.

Would like to travel up and see a game in person.  Crap like this just makes me happy to watch the games at home.

All you have to do is not engage with some random drunk and you are fine.

The reality is even if they didn't allow it in the main lots there are still plenty of other places that is going to happen.  And it's not like people don't sit in there cars in the main lots and drink anyways so it's still going to happen regardless.

I have seen way too much rowdiness in Rich/Ralph/Highmark over the decades.  Fights, drunkenness, profanity, was often the norm.   Seems worse than ever so I stopped going.

and the pot..  it’s over the top. Took the kids to Bills Ravens last year and it smelled like a phish concert.

Did this many people die from fights in the old days? Like the 50s, 60s, 70s when fighting among guys was way more common?

It seems like more people die or get severely hurt now. Is it from inexperience? No more fighting code among guys?

cutting off beer sales at the half has backfired as the 5,000 a holes get even more blasted b4 the game even starts and the crazy stuff happens from the opening kickoff.  In the old days we'd all get drunk at the same pace together...

The video said he was punched hard in the side of his head and crumpled to the ground.

I saw it on Pats Pulpit. The dolphin fan was punched twice in the face then slumped over in his seat.  (I don’t know how to share the article lol)  so I would agree sounds like Manslaughter.
