Tommy Callahan Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Ford is planning to cut as many as 8000 jobs from its Ford Blue division, which produces the company's ICE vehicles1. The company is looking to cut $3 billion in operational costs from its gas-powered business to invest more money into EV development1. In addition, Ford announced that 2,000 full-time salaried workers would be let go along with another 1,000 contract workers2. The cuts represent about 6% of the 31,000 full-time salaried work force in the U.S. and Canada2. you grasp the bargaining power was the federal green funds were tied to using union labor? Whover put that rider in, was onto something.
Tommy Callahan Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Still laughing at the clip of UAW chief Shawn Fain stating the union supports Biden. but most of the union members will probably vote for the other guy. 1 1

I've never seen a truck going down the road with a Biden sticker on it, how about you? I do see a lot of Prius cars with rainbow stickers and maybe a Biden Harris. Was that you I drove by Princess? 😂 2

BillStime Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Trump and his dirty tricksters are always playing games, creating mirages and psyops. If you know you can’t win - cheat!
BillStime Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Embarrassing - and not a word from his cult. But can you imagine the OUTRAGE if Biden did this? Karen would start 14 threads about it and title them as if the she were a drunken soldier: BLAH BLAH BLAH / BLA BLAH / BLAH‼️

Another story for their shareholders and workers. And most of these auto union jobs and factories started going overseas with NAFTA to Mexico and Canada under Clinton and accelerated under Bush 2 with a pivot of the exodus to Asia. Some of this has been offset by foreign manufacturers that have set up assembly plants in the South but these use mostly foreign content and parts to assemble vehicles in the US in order to avoid import tariffs and charges for the import of finished goods. Employment in the domestic auto industry is a fraction of what it was 20 or 30 years ago. 1

Yuuuuupppp. Isn't odd that any improvement in worker wages or benefits is a catastrophe that will spike prices, tank shareholder value, and drive the company out of business? Nope, let's keep on swinging the trickle down meat axe into blue collar america. 1
