Last season. This season I'd be shocked. And really the Eagles should have won if Hurts hadn't inexplicably dropped the ball.

For all the talk about the AFC being a gauntlet, the Eagles, 49ers, and Cowboys all look pretty clearly like the best teams in the league IMO.

Yes, the Eagles are 2-0 but IMO they don’t belong in the same conversation (at least right now) as the 49ers and Cowboys, who both dominated week one.

I haven’t been impressed by the eagles offense at all so far the first 2 games of this season. Their defense has looked good and they’ve been pretty darn lucky with turnovers. But their offense has looked nothing like last season so far IMO. I think Hurts looks pedestrian. I think the play calling has been questionable. Their passing game has been mediocre at best. They were able to run the ball last night. But week one they were lucky to even win against the patriots. They really didn’t do that much outside of those 2 turnovers early in the game.

check out the stats on the eagles offense through 2 games:

It’s way too soon to say which conference will be the toughest this season anyway. The first weeks of the NFL season are always unpredictable. The eagles do have a new OC too, so I’m sure they are going through some growing pains. I expect their offense to play better as the season goes on.

In retrospect am glad I dropped Penny for Kelley for emergency if Ekeler doesn't play this week.

Yeah after last night it seems a safe bet that Hurts, Swift, and Gainwell will own that backfield.

Maybe Scott (and especially against the Giants) but he got concussed.

Unfortunately for Penny, his most notable contribution was his holding call that took back Brown’s TD catch.

and of course I have Brown in another league.

I watched most of the game.  One takeaway is that it's just as well that Harrison Phillips left the Bills.  The Eagles ran right over him, over and over.

Another takeaway is that the Vikings are going to pay this year for all the good fortune they had last year.  Things even out.
