There has been no regression whatsoever in physical talent. If he truly regresses, it will be because of the mental/emotional side of the game.

He probably wanted to impress his new girlfriend last night.

I think (not to blame Dorsey) that he has an ultra aggressive OC, and his ego wants to prove he’s still GOAT Josh. Defensives have been feasting off his ago.

Started to regress after year 6 is so oddly specific and easily disproved.    His 7th and 8th year in the league were actually better than his 6th year in the league.    Not to mention Cam had literally one season on par with what Josh has done in the league.   2015, or year 5 for Cam was a complete outlier in terms of his overall career.  2015, Cam's MVP level season is what Josh has done 3 of his 5 full years in the league.  Stop with the narrative, its not accurate.

This has about as much relevancy as bringing up some random things that has nothing to do with what you are tying to compare it to.

What are you even talking about? Allen & Newton played the same position and absorbed more hits then needed by playing the same style. It’s not that outlandish to compare the two careers.

Josh is just hurling himself into linebackers and turning easy out of bounds scrambles back inside to initiate contact. He’s playing like a mindless idiot and i’m not even talking about the reckless throws.

Cam from what i recall was mostly physical regression. Allen is having a crisis

The quarterback who appears to be most comparable to Josh is early Cam Newton. Cam's performance began to decline in his sixth year, and now we find ourselves in a similar situation with Josh. As he enters his sixth year, it appears that his performance has deteriorated in every game since the Green Bay game last year. Will Allen be able to revive his career, or will he continue to experience a decline? This is a critical question that needs to be addressed.

Sorry but that is an absolutely gawdawful comparison, imo.

Agreed! Cam made a superbowl. He’s more in Wentz luck territory right now

You would be wrong...

Josh is also the only quarterback in NFL history with 3 straight 40 TD seasons

Expand

Mahomes has 194 passing TDs, Allen had 176 total since 2018

Take their first five seasons in the NFL and add up their total touchdowns

Josh has 177

Mahomes has 159

It doesn't matter that mahomes sat it still counts

Are you counting Mahomes rookie year, when he didn’t play?

Expand

Ummm I said first 5 years... plain as day

Mahomes doesn't get a bonus year because his first five years doesn't mean he gets 6

Josh is ahead of Peyton Manning, Tom Brady Joe Montana everybody

You said "through 5 years" not first 5 years. Montana's rookie year was 1979, his WRs still smoked and sold insurance in the offseason

No receivers were selling insurance in 1979 that were roster players LOL the NFL CBA since at least 1975 the average a roster player makes was 56,000

56,000 in 1975 is over $300,000 today... Nobody needed to be a part-time player in 1979.. $300,000 a year is plenty

I love Allen's competitiveness and incredible arm strength but he's breaking down from taking too many hits scrambling.  But he has to do it as he will not succeed as a pure pocket passer.  He'll be washed up in 3 years ☹️
