BearNorth Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 BTW anyone notice that the #10 ranked guard in PFF is none other than Greg Van Roten [who will be coming to Buffalo on Sunday]. Really beginning to wonder about our ability to evaluate OL. 1 1 1 1 Quote

Maybe they can get a group of broken players, salvage the good parts and build a Frankenstein monster. 1 minute ago, BearNorth said: Really beginning to wonder about our ability to evaluate OL. Not that van roten is good, but yeah, that's been a question for a while now. 1 Quote

McDeerInTheHeadlights Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Given the situation at RT, I think Collins is worth a closer look, but with the clear understanding that he most likely won't be able to help this season. Quote

They chose Ifedi and it'll be he or Van Demark if Brown gets hurt or needs to be benched. We made a move at OT just last week. Really no use in fans bringing up every OT that gets released going forward. We're not going to stockpile released OT's and swap out guys midseason. At most, they'd sign someone like Collins to the Practice Squad. Even then, it would probably be at the cost of Richard Gouraige, who showed some things worthy of developing. If Collins is a better option than Ifedi, then it does matter. They can sign him to the PS, get him up to speed and then play him if need be. They added Ifedi just 2 weeks ago and he can possibly end up the starter, why not Collins? That is again IF he's better than Ifedi. As for Van Demark and Gouriage, they appear to be LTs only I actually think Van Demark is the heir-apparent at LT. Edited September 15, 2023 by Doc Quote

ChronicAndKnuckles Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I actually believe in the O-line we already have. Bills fans need to be patient and let them continue to gel. A whole new offensive tackle would be stupid at this point in the season. Quote
