Another Fan Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Did anyone else think that seemed kind of strange and really out of character for him? He even more than Josh had that sort of Buffalo Bills character of putting your head down and working hard kind of thing. While Matt is still the man that 15 yard penalty after the interception did prove costly. The Bills only got a field goal on that drive and a TD might have really iced the game. That gave the Jets a slight glimmer of hope I thought before halftime. I know I’m kind of nit picking at that penalty. But stuff like that, that video over the summer of Dawkins filming himself throwing Dolphins jerseys on the floor, and Josh’s performance last night kind of leads me to believe the team needs harder and stronger coaching and more discipline than what they have 2 3 2 Quote
Fallser Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Completely unnecessary, he should know better. Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Cookie crumbled with that taunting penalty. Quote
BarleyNY Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Good point. That penalty was uncharacteristically stupid of Milano. Quote
CEN-CAL17 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 (edited) I thought it was a BS call considering I could probably find 20 plays from Sunday that had the same circumstances but wasn’t flagged. It’s not like he stopped and got in his face, he slowed down and leaning over and said something…. Big deal. Edited September 12, 2023 by CEN-CAL17 2 1 Quote
Conlan58 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Unless we know exactly what was said, I really don't fault Milano. For all we know, he could have said something positive to Wilson (NICE HIT!!) and it was misconstrued by the refs. It was a solid effort by Wilson to bring him down, and as you said - taunting is out of character for Milano. He's earned the benefit of the doubt from me, no question. This game never should have been within reach for the Jets. 1 Quote
dorquemada Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Yeah, he shouldn't have done that but at least he was playing with passion. most of the team looks like they're marching in a funeral dirge 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Honestly, couldn't care less about that penalty. Over the last year of Buffalo Bills football I think you would be hard pressed to find another guy that's made as many bit time plays for this team. Frankly it was nice to see some personality out of him. Maybe he's finally coming out of his shell. 1 1 Quote

Think about it, the Bills were in field goal range, or close to it. That stupid penalty might have taken 3 points off the board. I bet you'd have like to have those 3 points at the end Quote
thenorthremembers Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Didn't see what he did. Still haven't. Last person I am going to worry about is Matt Milano. 1 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 No and no It was a good call and he has done it before. He frequently is jawing with guys after the play. Quote
K D Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Milano is the quietest guy on the team and he gets a taunting penalty lol. What a night! Quote
Livinginthepast Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Out of character for Milano. Stupid decision and yes it cost the Bills on that drive. When Milano returned the INT he did get hit hard (not sure if it was dirty) and that seemed to piss him off. Quote
Phils n Bills Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Thought it was a bit ticky tack. Admittedly I did not hear what he said. All things equal, Imagine if a flag was thrown every time Allen is jawed at. We would gain all of our yards on 15 yard penalties. Quote

He is one of the most enthusiastic guys out there after the play. He doesn't talk much to the media but he is constantly talking to his team and the opponent. Quote
SoMAn Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Most likely there’d been a lot of chirping from Wilson and that was Milano’s FY to him. Quote

I knew it before they even threw the flag. Totally unnecessary. Just turn away from the opponent and you can do and say whatever you want. Quote
UKBillFan Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Just an example of the stupidity and ill discipline which permeates through this team. 1 Quote
