zow2 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 So many people here love the guy. I just don’t see it as i’ve said since last season. As a RB you simply have to break some arm tackles. Watch Breece Hall for 2 carries and he’s everything Cook isn’t. Yes, when no one touches him, Cook is decent, but that’s the case with any RB. I need more Damien Harris or Murray. Cook seems like a nice change of pace, but not THE GUY to me. Hope im proven wrong 3 2 2 3 13 7 1 3 Quote

mannc Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Funny, I just posted this. The answer is, no, never. The next yard Cook gains after contact will be his first. 4 1 1 1 1 1 Quote
WEATHER DOT COM Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 His peak is a guy like James White. Useful player, but not an every-down back. 2 2 1 Quote
QB Bills Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I honestly don't get what people see in this guy. He's the definition of average. Singletary was miles better and even he wasn't a world beater. 2 2 6 1 Quote
1onemangang7 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 He's gotta be a top 5 back now after that 43 yards, right. Buck said he looked fantastic. Why wasnt he on the field in the drive for the tie. I dont see how nobody gets it here, youre not running a pro style offense. It's some hybrid run and shoot. He's not Barry Sanders. They cant afford so many runs for losses cause he's never broke one yet. Quote

Brand J Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 That’s the main complaint I see as I watch him run. He doesn’t juke defenders out of their shoes, nor does anyone slide off an attempted tackle. Basically if he’s touched he’s going down. With that said, he wasn’t the reason for the L tonight, but a Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall, or Saquon Barkley type of back with Cook’s speed would be invaluable. 1 2 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Had a very up and down game. At times i thought he looked really good, at times I thought he could have done a lot more 3 Quote
Billznut Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Cook remind me a lot of Spiller, with less talent. 1 1 5 Quote
K D Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 He is listed as 190lbs. Anyone who has played football knows you add a good 3" and 20lbs to your bio. That's not good Quote
WEATHER DOT COM Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Murray is going to be the lead back within a couple of weeks. 3 1 1 Quote
Rc2catch Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I don’t know why he’s taking such a beating. He looked great tonight I thought. Usage might have been a little high, they didn’t exactly do him many favors running the same run play like 6-7 times out of the same formation. I wouldn’t expect him to get the tough yards and break tackles, I thought that’s why they signed Murray and Harris. 3 1 Quote
TuelTime Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 It was reminiscent of when Nate Hackett was calling plays with CJ Spiller. Quote

CapeBreton Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I honestly think he’s hurting the offence, more than helping. He’s obviously not a lead back but they’re involving him like he is, lots of early down runs and short passes going his way but you think the other team is scared of James Cook? He’s way too small and soft. 1 1 Quote

Actually all three of those players tested faster than Cook if I’m not mistaken. 1 Quote
