Simon Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 I'll fold this into the random head thread but this was so stupid I've got to point it up first. So anybody with two eyes knows that Greg Rousseau has inarguably been one of the stoutest, best run-defending DE's in the NFL since about 10 minutes after he stepped on to the field. He's been beating the dogspit out of OT's for 4 straight years with virtually no let-up and both film and analytics consistently suggest he's arguably the best in the world at it. He made a play last night and CreeperC said (paraphrasing) "Greg Rousseau, he's long and strong but it seems like he's finally starting to add a little physicality to his game" Are you f'ing kidding me? Even a cursory investigation into him at any point would suggest he's one of the most physical DE's in football and this is the analysis you want to provide during a game? How in the hell has it gotten to the point where a network can gladly put a creepy moron that everybody hates on the air every week for so many years? Note to NFL suits: Nobody is turning on SNF to hate watch him; he is not helping you in any way. People are literally turning the sound down (the sound your advertisers are paying for) just because they want to watch some football on Sunday night. Ratings aren't going to go down and may go up if you get rid of him. Wake up and recognize that he is a net negative you dolts. 20 1 2 1 2 3 7 13 Quote

UConn James Posted December 3 Posted December 3 (edited) With all the stuff happening with technology, all I want is an option to silence commentators and just hear the sounds of the field and stadium that they get from the small parabola dishes you sometimes see pointed at the field. They already to it for SAP Spanish; make an audio channel without voices. I hate having to listen to jabbering fools to tell me what I just saw and the information that is right there on the graphics. Edited December 3 by UConn James 4 1 4 1 Quote

The context of island games is that you should assume the announcers last saw that team the last time they played on said island game. It all makes sense from that context. Quote

You know, that story reminds me of the time I saw Patrick Mahomes with the Kansas City Chiefs make an amazing play. Did I mention that Greg Rousseau once played against Patrick Mahomes? Did you know he plays the same position as Chris Jones, who plays for the Chiefs, along with Travis Kelce? 4 5 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Pretty ironic because clowns like collinsworth are the only reason these great bills players go mostly unheralded. 2 Quote

My favorite Collinsworth moment last night was in the 2nd quarter, 9ers 3rd possession of the game. Von Miller and others swarm Purdy and almost sack him, but he's able to barely get back to the line for like half a yard gain. Collinsworth sees that and goes "With these field conditions, I wonder if Purdy and Shanahan will be able to take advantage of the lack of pressure by the defense" And then Groot immediately sacks him for a 5 yard loss. Like "B!tch, we just pressured and sacked him before you even got your dumb comment out of your dumb face!" 8 Quote
Bad Things Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Collingsworth drives me crazy. My heart sunk when I turned on the game and saw him in the booth. He's even the highest paid commentator, right? I think it took him until the 3rd quarter to mention anything about Matt Milano returning after missing a year. On the lateral, you're right... as soon as it happened he said something like the Bills were showing some of that Kansas City Magic and started ball washing Mahomes and Kelce, instead of praising the Bills and Josh Allen. The guy is a total doucher. 1 4 Quote

Just don't listen to him, it's not that hard to focus on the action and not the announcers, but that would spoil the fun of complaining. If I ever get to the point where someone like him affects my life..........................it would not be worth living. I couldn't care less what the "cheerleader" says. His worst commentary came when he tried to explain talked effect snow in Buffalo. By the end he was like “they have all of these counties around here.” How is that any different than any other state in the US? Also the second Josh scored on that hook-and-ladder TD he brought up Kelce and Mahomes. He is the worst 2 Quote
