They’ve achieved first name only status. They are clearly the Michael Jordan’s of their profession.

Michael Jordan who?

As you can see some of our fan-base is as absurd as the talking heads unfortunately.

Ned, Lamar is underrated as a passer.  I'll take heat for that from anyone, but it is true.  for some reason he gets chided a lot for his ball, but more often than not he is pretty darn good with it.

Lamar is solid, but Lamar still struggles reading defenses sometimes and has trouble throwing the ball consistently accurate outside of the hashes from the pocket. A lot of the plays he makes come from him being elusive and catching someone coming across the field when rolling out because the play has broken down. Andrews has been killing people for years due to that. Lamar does throw a nice deep ball though and he is really good throwing to the middle of the field. I don't care about the two MVP's really. They are meaningless. I would take Josh over Lamar all day every day, and twice on Sundays.

Lot's of good discussion this morning on the FS1 show The Facility.  The Question: who is better Josh or Lamar?  and if you believe Lamar's MVP last year was a product of the teams defense and overall record, NOT his dominant play, you will love this discussion.   We all know Shady loves Josh so you know where he leans.

James Jones constantly talks about Josh having 40+ TDS for four straight years and counting and how crazy that is and he is a better QB than Lamar.  None of them including Acho think Lamar is on Josh's level.  Not a huge gap, but he's a level below.  They think Lamar has splashy plays but Josh is the scarier QB to play against.  And the playoff results/accomplishments are all in Josh's favor.  They pointed out that Baltimore's playoff losses can be pinned on Lamar,  Buffalo's playoff losses are mostly D and special teams related.

I'm hearing that the Lions are interested in Elam and may push for a trade soon !

No word on what they are willing to trade

I would not trade Elam.  Injuries happen.  Why get rid of solid depth for a draft pick that you have to wait a year for.  Rasul Douglas is no spring chicken.

I can't imagine they will offer anything that would tempt us. Elam is not garbage simply not a starter, so unless they are offering a 2nd I think we say no, and I doubt they offer a 2nd or even a 3rd

I would be very very surprised if Elam is traded.  He is in year 3 of the system and Beane has been patient with guys growing up in the system like Ingram, Lewis, and Spector.  Add that Douglas is a FA and Elam seems to have a nose for the ball, I doubt he gets moved unless Det makes a stupid offer like a 1st and a player.

Win a Superbowl, problem solved🤷‍♂️

Lamar hasn’t won a superbowl either. These arguments are stupid. Winning a superbowl takes a team, not just a QB. That includes coaching. It takes lucky ball bounces. It takes some ref calls going your way. Don’t believe me? See Matt Staffords career. Anyone think Eli Manning is even close to Tom Brady?

Want to bring up Lamar’s MVPs? Well the press and media votes for that too. While I think Lamar deserved the first one, last year was pathetic. The MVP is turning into the pro bowl. Win the one seed and you have a 50/50 shot at the MVP in most years. That doesn’t mean you were necessarily the best QB or the most deserving.

Next year is the last year of Elam's rookie deal and I can't imagine they will exercise their fifth-year option on him.  Unless Benford or Douglas gets hurt, I don't see how Elam's going to see the field this year.  I bet Beane would be sorely tempted if someone offered a third for Elam, who just doesn't seem like a good fit for this system.

Very true.

Lions want to bolster their secondary and they feel like Elam can start and contribute right away !

Elam would be receptive to the trade because he would be a starter

I was generally commenting on another “ The Nasty people are saying something I don’t like about our Joshy” LAMP thread.

    Lighten up Francis.

I was mostly speaking in general as people always bring up accomplishments like SB as if its only the QB that mattered.  Wasnt necessarily directed completely towards you.  I don't need to lighten up.  Im fine.  Also my name is Scott.  Yes thats a joke.

I really like this thought process from Edelman about what’s going on with JA. Without Diggs, it has recalibrated JA to look for the open guy.

This is awesome too. Take his first read away and he’ll keep finding the open guy.

Everybody eats. Go Bills!

That's an interesting stat I've never seen before.

It could mean two things:

1.  Jacob Gibbs is right and LeFleur is really good at designing plays that get the primary open.

2.  Willis has been coached hard to get the ball out on schedule to the guy he's supposed to get it to.

Or maybe a litte of both.

I think the Bills want to hold onto Elam.  Douglas is older, and after next year we lock down Benford, sign Elam to a 2 year deal, and let Douglas walk at 32 years of age
