Maybe the NFL knows America a behind Buffalo & they’re sick of the Chiefs. Maybe they know that another Brady versus Manning rivalry is good for the league. It’s not a rivalry if Pat keeps winning.
Maybe the NFL will just let them play. Maybe they’ll even help America’s Bills out today.

Or maybe the league knows the Bills are getting a new stadium and if look at recent history...

Bills basically can't touch mahomes.

They can only hurry and chase him as he runs to the sidelines

Any contact at all will draw a flag

Honestly, if I'm the coach I let the defense know if they do get a shot to hit Mahomes...take it. But make it worth the possible 15 yards. Tackle him hard...NOT dirty and if you give up the penalty yards...leave him with some soreness. No weak 15 yarders.

Not trying to injure or be dirty. Good legal hard football hits. Get him uncomfortable and sore leading to the 4th quarter.

This is my biggest concern as well. That and it feels like Jawaan Taylor NEVER gets called for a false start even though he practically tap dances at the line.

So Mahomes goes down easily at times; most QBs do. Exhibit A: Allen, Josh.

Chiefs fans will cry that Taylor is the most player in the league but that said I agree with you as he does it almost every play and refs should call on every play til he stops or gets benched to stop.

Seems like the focus is all on rtp but what grinds me gears the most is both secondaries are usually playing pretty grabby all game in the playoffs but then the chiefs opponent will get called for a huge marginal dpi/defensive hold late in the game that has been let go all day/night

THIS.

Kansas City’s secondary and offensive line play the holding game all the time in the playoffs, simply betting that refs won’t call it.

It’s why you need pressure up the middle and power rushes off the edge to get to Mahomes in the playoffs.

Our only hope for finesse rushers like AJ, is that Thuney can’t get his T-Rex arms on him quick enough, given his elite first step.

Wouldn't be surprised if Rodg called in that tweet. You can't go anywhere in the real world (outside KC) and social media without some Chiefs refs conspiracy stuff. It's hilarious, but I'm sure the NFL doesn't see it that way.

It's stats against the eye test. Chiefs seem to be given penalties where it affects them less, and the opposition given them when it has greater affect, at key times in the game. Plus, as said, opponents get pulled up on something which the Chiefs have been getting away with for most of the game - the best examples being holding, PI and false starts.

If the refs over correct and keep the flags in their pocket I think that is a disadvantage for us. Look for our pass rushers to be held, DB's to be mugged and Jawan Taylor to start every snap 2 yards behind the L.O.S.

Is all that worth being able to hit Mahomes a couple times?

Facts don't require an eye test.  Whether you see them or not, they are still there...

"The Chiefs were plus-20 yards in penalty differential, which ranked 16th in the NFL Offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor was the second-most penalized player this season The Chiefs were penalized 94 times, the fourth-fewest in the NFL. However, their 829 penalty yards were the 22nd-most in the league. The Chiefs’ 23 offensive holding calls were the sixth-most in the NFL. With 11 defensive holding calls, the Chiefs were tied for the ninth-most in the league."

During the week I watch games back, not just the Bills, and, for me, Taylor's lucky not to be most penalized and the Chiefs fortunate not to be top of both holding lists. It seems to be every play - as though they know the refs cannot call it every time as it will kill the game, so just take their chance.

Additionally, it doesn't answer the question of when these penalties are given. The opposition appear to get penalties in key situations in close games. Then tick tack make up penalties against the Chiefs once the game is gone to look 'fair'. Is that right? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps if they weren't in for a three-peat the finger wouldn't be pointed. If the Bills win the next two Super Bowls (please please please) the focus would probably turn on them.

I’ll do my own research and get back to you.

It’s like the Buffalo News saying Allen doesn’t sell calls. Sure, maybe they are right but I doubt it.

every team commits Offensive holding--you will "see it" on every play, if you are looking for it.  Therefore every team is lucky it's not called as much as it is.

this season there were only 702 holding penalties over 282 games--that's less than 3 call per game.

As for when these penalties are given, the article mentions that:

“This season, in a year where the Chiefs are being labeled as the luckiest team ever, in the second half of games that are within one score either way, no team has had more flags thrown against them then the Kansas City Chiefs,”

Plus the Bills have 50% more 1st downs due to penalties.  they are ties for second in IDs disallowed by penalty (Bill are #1).

The Mahomes slide from last week has me thinking of a rule change that should be applied to the QB slide. The QB should not be allowed the usual protections if their slide is not parallel to the sideline and facing opponents endzone. That might be the first time I've ever seen a QB slide parallel to the endzone.

I like our receiver much better this year to deal with the hands DBs, Hollins, Kincaid, Coleman better be ready to attack those DBs of they grab them.

You've concluded the guy is making up stuff without regarding the article:

"Consider these stats from the 2024 regular season, via The Football Database website"

same site pretty much everyone uses, I would imagine.  you should check it out.
