waterglass Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago For the hay of it I never listened to anther cities radio talk show on Audacity live but I did a first today. The show was on today; January 23, 2025 on 96.5 FM The Fan in Kansas City. Its on live right now as I write this. The feed doesnt have a time stamp on Youtube but between 11:30AM EST to 12:00 EST today 23Jan2025 they spoke about that Damar Hamlin had no business being nominated for NFL Comeback Player of the Year Nomination for the 2024-2025 season. Then they mock it. I had enough so I wrote this. I typlically dont even get my bunny ears up but like why is this even discussed by these two "professionals" on a Chiefs NFL radio talk show, enough is enough. In my opinion my anger isnt not being biased, its about two apparent pieces of human filth, ragging on a guy who almost died. Of all the things in the world of football they go there? They didnt even have to bring it up nor go there but they did. Chiefs Owner should be briefed as the Chiefs organization should be way above this but maybe not? Pure junk to the extreme by two "communications" graduates? My opinion. Heres the link to the video live feed link <Sorry, we're not supporting these jagoffs with links> 1 Quote
Mark80 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I kind of agree with it. He already had comeback last year. Yes, his play has greatly improved but it's weird to be nominated for that award 2 years in a row. 4 1 Quote

jaybeezee Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 18 hours ago, McMuffin said: I listened to this earlier and there is a consistent attitude of dismissiveness from certain former players who are now in the media when it comes to Allen. Cam Newton (who Josh is most compared to) has gone out of his way to downplay Josh while lifting up Lamar. Keyshawn Johnson can’t seem to give Josh any respect but makes all kinds of excuses for Lamar. Richard Sherman had Rasul Douglas on his podcast and he did not ask one question that mentioned Allen. They and some others like to say it doesn’t matter what Josh does until he beats the Chiefs in the playoffs while Lamar only quarterbacked his team to one win against the Chiefs in the regular season and also has not beaten them in the playoffs. We are in a time when it seems like half of the quarterbacks in the NFL are black and I’m here for it. While I appreciate the progress that has been made in the NFL. I also feel that Lamar should be held to the same standards as other great players who have come up short in the postseason like my goodness, he will most likely have 3 MVP’s! Come to think about it, maybe Lamar should be held to an even higher standard! One player (Josh) does not need to be put down to elevate the other (Lamar). I just hope and pray that we win it all so Josh can shut up all of the haters. Whats crazy to me is how there are some (Clark) himself that stated that Lamar, out of the many other great, current Black QB's most identifies with the Black community, which is a slap in the face to Hurts, Stroud, Daniels, Love, Geno Smith, and many other Black QB's. I ask myself, why? Is it because Lamar wears Grillz? Clark is part of the problem that tries to rope in the Black community with stereotypes and there are not many that agree with his BS in the community. Lamar has 2 MVP's already, which the second one i dont agree with, so if it was a Black/White thing, then he wouldnt have even won any. He is praised way more than Josh is by most. Good thing is Lamar himself is a top tier human being and would never get caught up in BS that Clark and others stir up. Josh Allen loves Lamar and respects the heck out of him, going as far to state that he is one of the greats and he was honored to share the field with him. Clark needs to be fired from ESPN and moved over to CNN with a show that starts at 2AM on weeknights! I actually despise RC more that the other dipstick that said he couldnt stand Josh because his fans have American Flags and Dogs as their avatars. 1 Quote

It seems like each award has 5 finalists which in the case of some awards is probably 2-3 too many. The guys that don’t have any shot at winning are still finalists though a big story in kc land is probably how they’re gonna abuse our safeties so the comeback player talk for them was probably overflow from that 18 minutes ago, DrDawkinstein said: Couldnt care less what these jabronis have to say. Sojourner Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago What in the actual F are these guys on about? Theyre making it sound like Josh has been a let down in these games against the Chiefs in the playoffs? Cam Newton: “He needs to put the team on his back like Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Patty Mahomes…” Amazing. Absolutely amazing they can be paid to have these takes. 4 1 Quote

There isn't a QB who consistently has put the "team on his back" more than Josh Allen. The Ravens game was such an exception to that rule. It was a rare game where we had true complementary football and a lot of players contributed to the outcome, without needing Allen to put on the cape. 1 Quote

EJ Manuel was the first QB taken, I think in large part because he looked and sounded like he would be a franchise QB. Agree to an extent. The Bills also couldn’t have been worse about developing EJ. It’s why it’s amazing the way developed Allen. 1 Quote

Especially from Orlovsky who’s usually pretty sound in his takes. If you look at the performances of Josh in playoffs vs. Chiefs, I don’t know how you’re walking away with anything other than the results well and truly being due to the nature of football: a team sport. 2 Quote

Cam very clearly dislikes Josh Allen. The same Joe Burrow that got to the Super Bowl on the backs of his defense and kicker? That guy? Cam is quickly becoming one of the most pathetic commentators on that network.. which is saying ALOT. 2 Quote

Stop trying to be offended. Agreed, no need to be offended in the least. But I sure as hell question their intellectual integrity when it comes to an analysis that is completely devoid of even basic research. Just a rudimentary study of Josh Allen shows he’s been one of the best playoff QBs in history precisely because he puts the team on his back. They should at least respect that. 1 Quote

I feel like his last afc championship game is probably pretty good statistically if that ball didn’t go right through Browns hands and get picked even. Probably lookin at 300 yds 3 tds 1 Quote
