Punch Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Stephen A.'s job is to take a stance and fight for it tooth and nail. Only a few days ago he was pushing back hard against Cam Newton in defense of Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson, with regards to playoff performance. It isn't really a contradiction but more so an exercise in debate team tactics: rather than espousing a heartfelt opinion they're simply dueling devil's advocates, which generates clicks/views and is entertaining to some, but aggravating to most. 1 Quote
paulmm3 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Stephen A, um, prioritizes things other than competence in player evaluations. 1 Quote
ChrisWatson#21 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The Bills don't have any allies on the mainstream media and the few that are like Fitz, Shady have to walk on eggshells and not offend NFL popular players like Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes so their audience doesn't feel offended. Reality is Buffalo is a small market you could feel it even back when they were on the Super Bowl 90's teams and one can feel it now still. We are the best fans and travel well but don't let that confuse you into thinking that mainstream media wants to see the Bills win anything. 1 1 Quote

Thinks if Lamar wins the Super Bowl he might be considered one of the greats of all time. He is focusing alot on the earlier season game and has not given a thought as to how both teams have evolved since that game. He is treating the Bills like they are chopped liver. Ummm . This is all good for buffalo trust me. Hopefully McDermott behind the scenes is telling everyone : " they say we have the worse qb... we can't win... 9 pro bowlers to 2.. they have the better coach" etc.. Pretty easy game to get these guys up for. Quote
SCBills Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Bills are a Barstool/Alt Sports Media favorite. On ESPN, the only real allies they seem to have are McAfee & his crew, Rex Ryan, Dan Orlovsky and Mina Kimes. Most other personalities on that network else really…really.. want Lamar and Mahomes as the face of the league. 1 1 Quote
WotAGuy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Jim Nantz is an unabashed Bills supporter; he’s close with Josh. Maybe not Chris Berman-level, but definitely paints the Bills in a very positive light. The talk shows are just that; they all know Bills Mafia has an inferiority complex and they count on getting a lot of online engagement when they dismiss the Bills. 2 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I mean to be fair, every time people start buying into the Bills they go out and blow it. People are getting a little bit of the "boy who cried wolf" syndrome on the Bills getting to the Super Bowl. So not a surprise they are not as gung-ho as we head into a game against a team that whooped our behinds already this season. 2 1 Quote

Personally, I think we should have a superiority complex. I think we can out beer pong, dizzy bat, bowling ball shot or table jump any of them! 2 minutes ago, Alphadawg7 said: I mean to be fair, every time people start buying into the Bills they go out and blow it. I love this team. 1 1 Quote

And this is why everyone one of these talking heads have zero value added, it’s all scripted, some folk can’t wrap their minds around this fact, others that realize this just ignore these shows, there may be an exception to prove the rule, But thus far I have yet to experience it, 2 Quote

If they sing the praises of anyone other than the Chiefs, for the last several years, they blow it. So I don’t buy that. 1 hour ago, EasternOHBillsFan said: Mina Kimes is a Dolphins fan... she can be a fan of who we she wants as long as she stays on the internets. Quote

Lamar’s previous failures don’t seem to diminish him though in the eyes of the media…Im praying for another one this week…nothing against him personally but it will offend plenty of clowns in the media… Quote

When he has faltered it’s been less the let down than the Bills were to a lot of people. Expectations have been higher for the Bills most seasons than the Ravens. 3 hours ago, mabden said: As far as that goes, the Ravens have been worse in the playoffs with Lamar. Ravens were the no 1 seed last year, and their Super Bowl odds have been the same or better than the Bills throughout most of this season…they are massively overhyped given their lack of post-season success. 1 1 1 Quote

This should be huge motivation to stick it to the Ravens..... not just beat them, but dominate and out-physical them!! Go Bills!!! Quote
