Think they'll sell a gulfstream or two?

Poor you if you are away and robbed by someone who barely can afford enough to eat and certainly not internet or tv.

That is fair right because you have so much more than robber?

When Netflix made streaming video easier and at a cheap price piracy went down a lot but once there became 1000 streaming services that cost nearly as much as cable used to then people just went back to piracy

I don’t believe I’ve missed a Sunday Ticket, one way or another, since my first in 1996… I remember setting up and activating that satellite multiple times myself. Also, you had to BUY the Directv satellite, receiver, etc. back then. All to watch the Bills…

I’ve paid the suits plenty of my income, even when I had little to spend.

So, if I’m occasionally using “questionable” means to watch Red Zone or a preseason game, excuse me Admiral Jerruh for not assisting you in acquiring another Imperial  Star Destroyer..

I hate that I agree with this but perspective is needed for sure, there’s plenty of entertainment that people spend large amounts of money on that I would never dream of doing.

The fact I can get every NFL game in library format commercial free at my fingertips for 30 bucks a month ? For me it’s peanuts but I do understand others wish to spend their entertainment dollars differently.

Psh NFL+ never worked for me last year. I too like that service. I went back and forth with a rep, get this, not over a phone, or email... but on an open forum. 3mos of trouble shooting via that method, what would've taken 30min phone call, I never saw a single second of football on NFL+.

Had to do a charge back with my bank and they said they got a TON of those.

There's a site, offers all the same stuff. All 22. Long format. Condensed game. It's available about 12hrs after games finish.

Guess how much that was? $0

How many ppl experienced same thing as me and never did a charge back? Millions made, giving 0.0% of service paid for. They couldn't even be personable enough to have a # to call, you think they fret that they ripped off thousand of ppl.

Noooooopeeeeeeeeee

So I'm not gunna cry when they lose money. How many Sundays did Sunday ticket completely stop working for almost an entire 1p-4p window? It was definitely twice, and I think 3.

Guess what format didn't have that problem. Foolish to shed a single tear over corporations losing money lol

I lived through the blackout years, when Rochester was blacked out because it was inside the 75 mile radius of OP.  Then they blacked out the 'cuse because like 4 or 5 houses serviced by 'cuse cable were 1 inch inside the 75 mile radius of OP.  Now Rochester is being blacked out again because we're not part of the home market.  ***** the NFL and their antitrust exemption and their thievery.  Billions in public money subsidizes the stadiums, hell, we just kicked in 800M for the new Bills stadium.  THE LEAST THEY ***** OWE US IS ACCESS TO THE ***** GAME BROADCASTS!!!

Oops.  I got sidetracked.   If I was the NFL, I would also do everything possible to shutdown pirated streams.  I pay to watch games on Amazon, Peacock, and ESPN.  So should all the thiefs.

So your position is the rights holders should be able to sell to as many different subscription services as they like and then require consumers to pay the cost, so long as it makes them more money and at the same time should aggressively go after any illegal streamers?

Rich get richer. All hail market capitalism.

I question whether anyone doing free streaming somehow would pay for a package anyway.  Seems to me that's why they go black market.

I would happily pay for a team only option, and maybe a redzone add on. Until then.....ehhh. Streaming has worked pretty well for me for years.

The actual comparison is I own a convenience store and I used to allow customers to buy a bag of potatoes for $1. Then I decide I am not going to sell my potatoes in bags because I can earn more charging individually for them at 20 cents per potato. It is same product. The individual potatoes are no better than the they were in the bag. I have just decided I want to make more money.

If I am that store owner and someone who can no longer afford the potatoes for his family runs in grabs them and runs out that is my fault not his.

Great analog. No really. I feel awful that these poor billionaires might go without their fifth residence

You can it’s $400 on YouTube.  The thought that all I want is my team and that should be a fraction of the price is and always was ridiculous.   99% of people who subscribe to the ticket do it for THEIR team not to get 12 and I’m games they can only max watch two, 1 pm and 4pm.

Why? Why in the year of our Lord 2023 is such an idea ridiculous?

Have you ever driven over the posted speed limit? That's illegal too.

If they want to play whack-a-mole have at it... these sites have been around for decades. I can only speak for myself and maybe a dozen other people I know but I'll/we'll watch them however we see fit and if that means an out of the country website so be it.

$12 beers should be illegal too lol

Apples and cracker jacks.  Basic traffic infractions—sometimes called civil infractions—are low-level violations that are usually not classified as crimes. They are basic omissions that are illegal but are not treated as criminal activity.

Not quite true. You are paying for all teams, all games. I'll counter with its rediculous that I have to to pay for for all of them when I only want to watch the Bills games. The NBA and MLB has figured it out. Why can't the NFL. Seems to me it's what a lot of fans want.

I don't watch regular TV, so now I have to pay for more stuff I don't want? I'm good.

You can counter with whatever, the reason it exists is for out of towners to watch their team.   Logistically it gets a lot more complicated to have 32 packages vs one.  I bet you think the price would be less?   And no there is a sunday ticket only option.

Yeah, I'm not getting the whole "stealing is stealing" argument either. Technically it's true of course, but these huge companies steal from people every day. All you need to do is look on TripAdvisor to see people complaining about being overcharged or ripped off or getting a terrible experience in a large hotel or theme park, followed by the inevitable reply from said huge corporation that doesn't offer compensation or even an apology, just the standard "thanks for leaving feedback, we'll pass this on to the relevant team".

Look at the NFL screwing over former players who made peanuts during their careers and ended up in wheelchairs, brain damaged etc.

While we are on the subject... similar but unrelated the contract to show college football on UK TV appears to have run out and not been renewed. Therefore my only way to watch this season is illegally.

It's ridiculous, really, that these kinds of things happen in a modern society
