Chandler#81 Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 (edited) Excellent get! I feel much better now. Any idea how long before he’s fully healthy? Probably getting back into football shape. Plus he will need some time with the playbook and making the calls Edited August 30, 2023 by ddaryl 2 Quote

LABILLBACKER Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Great short term signing. Get him in there as soon as he's ready. Give Dorian Williams some reps outside. Could care less what happens to Spector, Bernard or Dodson. 2 2 Quote

They may have committed something to him wink/nod and this allows them to get him in the team learning/practicing. Keep in mind a guy signed to the 53 after week 1 is not guaranteed salary so they may want to do that. 1 1 Quote

Royale with Cheese Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 He is an 8 year vet…he won’t need a lot of time to ramp up. I think he starts week 1. 1 1 1 Quote

Well they are posting his priority is winning so this wins on a number of points. He'll have time to learn the defense, they can even rotate the lbs if they all perform well in schemes they run. Read he's good friends with Hyde and Poyer was it? If so, easy to think they discuss various schemes they play in in offseason and might have him up to speed in no time. And easy enough to move players to from ps, though not sure of all the tweaks they may have in place for practice squads. However since to be signed off another PS the player has to agree and a vet knows the grass is not always greener when you chase the $$. Edited August 30, 2023 by AuntieEm Quote
BBFL Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 (edited) Was looking through transactions around the league from the past week and missed Isaiah Simmons getting traded from AZ to NYG for a 7th round pick… Shame we didn’t enquire or put an offer for him. Kirksey is serviceable but this really makes the LB situation outside Milano more concerning. Edited August 30, 2023 by BBFL 1 1 Quote

Shanahan's Horseshoe Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Could’ve had Zach Cunningham all camp and ready to go at MLB. Now he’s starting for the Eagles. The way McBeane has handled MLB is the biggest headscrater of their tenure. 2 3 1 2 2 Quote
