In simplest terms…he was going to be cut, for which the Bills would receive nothing.  Instead, they gained some cap space and swapped out a 7th round pick for a 5th.

We supposedly value draft capital and never want to give it up for vets at trade deadline etc. Yet often make questionable picks and then essentially dump said questionable picks for nada.

oh yeah.  if he was going to be cut than so be it.  i just didn't assume his was going to be cut after a somewhat productive camp.

To be fair Bean has drafted 3 DE high in the draft in recent years as well as bringing in Von and Floyd and bringing back Shaq at some point someone was going to be the odd man out.
