Warcodered Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Who had that huge whiff on the pass defense on 3rd down? Quote

I agree with you based on what we have seen but odd way to play him today if they do think he has the swing job won. Could have been they wanted to see Anderson against better comp out at Tackle to see if he could handle it. He failed imo 1 Quote

BBFL Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 So regarding linebacker, which is looking to be a serious need and potential problem for the year (outside Milano), is there anyone that is a potential cut we could pick up? I liked Rahsaan Evans coming out of Bama and figured he’d have a reasonable career but is a FA. What’s the deal there? He had a decent year in Atlanta in 2022… wants too much $$$??? Quote

GunnerBill Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Did we try hard to sign Tranquil? The Bears announcer just said so. 1 Quote

I was looking forward to 2023 with enthusiasm partly because I thought we'd be stronger in the trenches. I thought Art Shell's great nephew, Brandon, was a good safety net at OT. And I thought Poona would make us stouter against the run. I might have been wrong. Quote

From a Bills perspective he has never played in a scheme like ours. Has always been in a 3-4 base style. Quote

My guess is they are entirely comfortable with him at LT so they decided to just give him some run at RT, rather than make him switch back and forth which is hard to do within a game. 2 Quote

Highly doubt it. 1 yr $3m with Chiefs, as a backup. He's not the answer either. At this point, we are either looking to make a "splash" trade (unlikely), or just roll with what we got first 4-6 weeks to see if Bernard/Williams show enough improvement. 2 Quote
HappyDays Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) If true, that means we struck out on David, Wagner, and Tranquil. Which left us with nothing but scraps. Edited August 26, 2023 by HappyDays 1 2 Quote

I saw one early snap with Rousseau inside. I suspect Rousseau and Basham will both get a decent amount of reps inside. 1 Quote
