Dan III Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3201 does anybody remember the numbers during the run in the early '90s??
MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 That's almost 59% of the seats. Not too bad. As for the SB years, I don't think it went above 60K.
BarkLessWagMore Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I believe the top season ticket count was 54k (in '92 I think)
Rubes Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I don't recall it ever getting into the 50's... My recollection, at least during the Super Bowl years, is that we were in the mid to upper 40's. So I'm pleasantly surprised to see 43K now.
SF Bills Fan Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 That is a very comfortable number. That is due to the efforts of the team to market itself as a regional team. I wonder how many Canadians and people from Rochestser that breaks down into? I am sure we will be in the top 10 for attendance again.
Sound_n_Fury Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 In 1992, the Bills sold 57,000 season tickets http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/stories...ewscolumn2.html

Dante Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I wonder how many Canadians and people from Rochestser that breaks down into? . 349783 I remember reading 2-3 years ago that canadians accounted for approx 10-15k a game . Not sure how many Canadian season tix holders that translates to though.
MikeH Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I wonder how many more they will sell this weekend on select-a-seat day? Does anyone know how many were sold last year at this event?
Lori Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Recent season ticket sales at Rich / RWS: 1988: 40,117* 1989: 47,865* 1990: 46,037* 1991: 54,604* 1992: 57,132* 1993: 53,004* 1994: 44,009 1995: 40.806 1996: 41,504 1997: 35,608 1998: 31,141 1999: 37,597 2000: 36,501 2001: 36,354 2002: 37,867 2003: 43,416 * = led NFL in attendance I don't have the number for 2004 yet, but expect it to be similar to 2003. Thanks mostly to having to host the Cardinals last year, though, overall attendance actually dipped approximately 10k from the year before. The "Rockpile" section was a great idea, since those seats are always the last to sell. If they're already at 43k, I expect the final number to be at LEAST 47-48,000 for the first time since the Super Bowl run ended.
BF_in_Indiana Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I expect ticket sales to really pick up if the Bills play well this year and especially if J.P proves he can play. 2006 could be a return to being a real contender again.
Tarrytown Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I am proud to say that I am now the proud owner of two of the 43,000+ tix sold this year. Even though I live in NYC I purchased two rockpile tix...so I can go with my mom (insert tear and sniffle here). The tickets are so cheap (compared to other cities) I had to do it...have to support the team. I might make 4 games this season. I can't help but be excited! Go Bills! (and in honor of the throwback jersey, my avitar is now old school!)

MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 You don't live in the area and bought season tickets? Are you nuts? I'm thinking of doing that NEXT year, and beyond.

Ouch......did something really rotten happen in 1998?
R. Rich Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I'm thinking of doing that NEXT year, and beyond. 350487 Wow. I just don't see how anyone who lives out of town could spend so much money on season tickets. More power to you, though.
