Brand J Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Not surprising given how they looked last week. 6 16 2 Quote
Warcodered Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I'd guess they'll try and let them get in a rhythm and then pull them after that series. 4 9 Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Interesting. I don't think that was the original plan, but I could be wrong. I have a feeling McDermott hopes to end the pre-season on a high note, and build the teams confidence going into week one. 4 5 Quote
Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 One would think if they zip down the field for a quick TD, that will be it. But, if they recreate last week’s miscues, you have to wonder how long McDermott will leave them in. 3 Quote
FireChans Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Folks that say preseason doesn't matter are sick to find out the coach is punishing the starters by making them play in this one because of how crappy they looked 3 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 It feels like had they done well last week that would have been a wrap on the majority of the starters PS. However with the presnap penalties it's good to get them back out there and tune up a bit. Just hope we stay healthy. 2 Quote
Big Blitz Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Tua and the Dolphins starters are playing to. Quote
Lost Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Hopefully they run one successful series and then done. Don't need our starters recovering for week 1 game while our opponents are fresh. 1 Quote

mushypeaches Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I think this is a good plan despite the injury risks. Both sides of the ball need to be crisper and show overall readiness for the opener 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted August 24, 2023 Author Posted August 24, 2023 (edited) The only thing I'll say is that if they're going to put Allen out there they have to let him play. If he wants to run let him run. If he gets hit, so be it. What we saw against the Steelers is useless for him to practice. If they're worried about him taking hits then call exclusively quick passes and runs. Edited August 24, 2023 by HappyDays 3 6 Quote
Virgil Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Please let the first play be Josh throwing a pick six to Edmunds. I just want to watch this board implode 36 3 Quote

Process Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I highly doubt we see Josh for more than one series. One series just to get the taste of last week out of their mouths (assuming, hoping it goes better) 1 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Good, not a McD fan but he needs to do something to send a message to this soft team knowing the hornets nest they're walking into on MNF against the Jets so they aren't blown of the field by the end of the 1st quarter again. 2 Quote
