No. They are obviously worse than the Bills. I honestly think the hype on Miami is waaaay over the top.

They have an excellent left tackle but he is rarely healthy.

They have two excellent receivers but I like their #3-#6 less than I like the Bills and the depth of our receivers has been well debated.

The have a good safety and two good (older) corners one of whom is out for half the season and the other of whom is coming off by far the worst year of his career.

They have two good pieces on the Dline in Wilkins and Phillips, but again not much around them.

Where else on the roster am I missing all this talent? Their linebackers suck, they have no tight end, their running backs are JAGs, the rest of the oline is trash and their secondary depth players were exposed last year and they have added Eli Apple who doesn't immediately strike me as an answer.

Thank you.

Agree, the bulk of the Bills defensive line is JAGs - Epenesa, Basham, Oliver, Phillips, Settle, Lawson.

DaQuan and Rousseau are going to have carry the line.

From my point of view I don't expect Von and Floyd to play a complete 17-games, they're reaching the point of their careers where whatever they give is a bonus. Pre-ACL Von was on-point.

Bills are paper thin at linebacker behind Milano, a collection of subpar linebackers (Bernard, Dodson, Klein, Spector), with only Williams as an upside player.

To me, depth is okay at corner, and Safety, but is Tre back to what he was? And age surely is starting to catch Hyde and Poyer. Hamlin is a JAG.

I expect there will be a decent amount of turnover on the roster next offseason. It won't be a rebuild but more of a retool or reload. To many players getting older. I know this is said every year with Beane and the draft, but he really needs to hit a HR next offseason with the draft/FA. The Bills need to get younger and improve the talent specifically at LB and the lines on both sides of the ball.

What do you think of this Devon Achane that is getting hyped up in the fantasy community?

I liked him as a mid-round running back. But it doesn't move the needle a lot for me on the team.

On top of a QB who can’t stay healthy….

Quite. On the Jets I understand and get where the hype comes from. On the Dolphins I really don't see it. I'm not sure they will better than they were last year even.

Best roster in the league with stars everywhere, added one of the best DC's in the NFL, top 5 QB, rising young offensive mind HC, etc, etc.

Jets similar in some ways but don't believe in Saleh or Rogers magically reverting back to MVP form and just like with the Bills last year, rarely do these hyped up media super teams live up to billing especially come playoff time.

The Dolphins??? Best roster in the league? It's the third best roster in the division. Top 5 QB? Come off it.

Yea.. I think this very well may be the last year here for Hyde, Poyer and Morse.

Then we have a lot of guys on the last year of their deal / one year deal in Gabe, Floyd, Poona, Daquan, Phillips, Settle, AJE, Rapp, Jackson..

On top of that, I think something has to be done with the contracts of Taron Johnson, Tre White and Dion Dawkins.  With White and Dawkins, depending on their play this year, I could see them being off the roster in '24 or being extended.

The core is still there going into next year with Josh, Diggs, Knox, Kincaid, Torrence, Cook, Von, Rousseau, Oliver and Milano, but yea .. I foresee an interesting off-season whether we win the Super Bowl or not.   Which is why Beane has stockpiled picks and I think we will likely re-sign some guys and have some one year value FA's that come here just like last year.

IMO yes because I'm obviously very familiar with Dolphins since they are a division rival. But many experts and pundits also have them as a clear cut top 5 roster, in some cases not even factoring in QB like Chris Simms ranking:

What am I missing when people talk about the Dolphins and Jets roster, specifically in comparison to ours?  They are talented, yes, but Top 5 (sans QB) rosters in the NFL?

We have OL questions, but given the interior of our line, I'd take ours over either of theirs.

Bills WR room is better than the Jets room and behind the Dolphins.

Bills have one of the best TE rooms in the NFL.

RB's... pretty equal across the board unless Hall comes back without missing a beat, in which case I'd give it to the Jets.

DL's.. All 3 have top tier Defensive Lines.

I'll give the Jets the edge over us in terms of LB and CB, but not the Dolphins (minus Ramsey) and even though they’re older, Hyde and Poyer match up with any Safety duo in the league.

If the Bills weren’t all beat up for both games the Bills walk away no contest.

I get that point - but the Phins were beat up too. To the point their QB was out, and the 2nd stringer was out. They had multiple defensive injuries too. Such a lame excuse - it's football.

Before I go into this, I want to defend Simms and Florio for a minute. Unlike the talking heads on ESPN and FS1, they don't spout things just for shock or clicks. If you disagree, I encourage you to actually watch PFT every day instead of piling on because it's cool to hate Florio like it's cool to hate Nickelback.

With that out of the way, Simms and Florio said on PFT this morning that the Dolphins have a top-3 roster in the NFL and are the best team on paper in the AFC East, supplanting the Bills. Simms said a position-by-position analysis, outside of QB, would be a landslide in favor of the Dolphins.

Do you agree? Why or why not? I'll admit that I was slightly puzzled by the comments, because I think I disagree.

QB: Bills

OL: Bills, right?

RB: Tie? I actually like the Bills' room better.

WR: Dolphins? They have elite talent, but I think the Bills have better overall depth.

TE: Bills

DL: Dolphins, but it's close

LB: Dolphins

CB: Dolphins, probably, if Ramsey is behind included, but it's close again

S: Bills?

Specialists: Tie?

Is that a Dolphins landslide? I don't think so.

This is pretty right, but without Ramsey, I think the Bills have the slightly better overall CB group, we are just deeper than them.  With a healthy Ramsey I think its fair to say Dolphins.

I do think the better roster even without factoring in the QB's is the Bills, and its not close if you add in QB's because Allen is a lot better than Tua.  But the roster in Miami is still also still good overall, but their OL is a mess and they have a QB who gets a concussion when he gets a papercut.  So without those two criticial areas improved they will not be a better football team than the Bills IMO.  I mean they are the 3rd best roster just in our own division.

Jets hype is legit...that D is no joke and they got the weapons on offense as well.  Biggest achilles heal is the OL.  Ive seen Rodgers play on some good teams with bad OL's and it held those teams back, so hoping that repeats itself some here because they to me are a real threat if not.  Dolphins not so much.

Miami has improved ,but still behind us. It’s a long season and we are the deeper team. Injuries will happen. The way they jump us is a Josh injury. My bigger gripe is the NFL Network has SF ahead of us in power rankings. They have maybe 3 average qbs on that roster. Fluke season aside(Tampa with Brad Johnson and a couple more examples), SF will not make to the SB, much less win a SB with that QB situation. JMO.

Not just Simms, Dolphins high on a lot of experts lists and consensus top 5 roster across the board.

In fact don't be surprised if the Bills and other teams are lining up to claim players they release on cut down day. Would make a lot of sense too for getting valuable intel as well as valuable depth because of how loaded they are at most positions.
