One of the most successful Governors in the country.  These numbers, broken down, are incredibly strong.

I’d qualify this as being just one poll, but it’s pretty consistent with other polling, and represented in his large margin of victory in the recent election.

He’s also a reminder to all Republicans that we do not need to fear MAGA “taking their ball and going home”… Trump literally tried to primary him and allowed two Democrat Senators to emerge from a lean red state.   The candidates that lost were Trump-backed.  Kemp, who he had a messy war with, was re-elected with overwhelming support.

Wow! Those numbers are obscene. Black and Hispanic numbers are something an R has never seen.

Yup .. and he also signed into law a heartbeat ban, along with being the target of a ton of completely out of bounds national attacks over voting laws.

Those attacks from the left.   From the right, having to re-establish himself amongst MAGA after Trump tried to primary him.

Kemp is probably the most underrated Governor in the country to have these numbers, while surviving heavy attacks from the left and right… all the while, staying true to his promise of being a very conservative leader.

Moderate GOP governors in blue or purple states tend to be pretty popular.

Kemp is somewhere between moderate and MAGA while Georgia is a bit more red than purple.

He’s the sort of traditional conservative that appeals far more broadly than Trumpy candidates.

Definitely worth pointing out.. Georgia is still a red state.  A shade of purple here and there, but red overall.

The conservative Governor won re-election in a landslide.

The state legislature is overwhelmingly red.

Even on election night, with Trump losing Georgia, the two R’s won their races… however, they didn’t reach runoff avoidance numbers… and that’s when Trump decided to destroy Republicans Senate prospects in Georgia for the past two years by making it about him and not Georgia.

Non-Trumpy GOP candidates outperformed Trumpy candidates in 2022. Normie voters are turned off by the extremism and election denialism.

Immediately after the 2020 election, Kemp was leaning hard into the various fraud claims, eventually going on Ingraham’s show and calling for the SoS to order a signature audit of every ballot in Fulton County.

Something changed.

yeah.  it would be nice to say that he grew a conscience but actually he probably just realized that anything and anyone linked to trump is a loser.

Something did change … they repeatedly asked Trump’s team to come forth with evidence.

Over and over they asked.

To the point where “True the Vote” told them to stop asking..

He then realized it was all bs and changed his tune, which drew the ire of Trump, who then tried to primary him with David Perdue.
