A little slow in the 1st half.  Tasker with a forced fumble and blocked punt.  Bills took over in the 2nd half.  Great game!

this is the one where Odomes stole the ball from the WR and ran it back for a TD right?

edit - yes it was

I remember that game though I never saw more than the Berman highlights.  I was at a show at some club in either Hadley or North Hampton, MA.  Pretty sure it was Sacred Reich / Violence / Flotsam & Jetsam. Through the years, all the shows start to bleed together, but I digress...  Vio-lence was definitely on the bill.  I know this because they are a bay area band, and the guitar player Raiders jersey and a bunch of their crew were sporting their Raiders gear as well.

Naturally, I was wearing a Bills hoodie and standing in the front row.  They must have come on around halftime because when they saw my sweatshirt, the guitar player and the singer gave me crap about the Raiders leading and how the Bills would get blown out in the second half.   After making a point of announcing the 3rd quarter Marcus Allen rushing TD, I was the recipient of more crap talking in between songs.  Somewhere near the end of their set, one of the crew must have given another update because the score updates and crap-talking stopped.

The club we were at didn't have any TVs with the game on, so before they left the stage after the set ended I asked for the score.  Glares commenced from some of the crew, and a surly Phil Demmel informed me "the bad guys" made a comeback.

Thanks for the flashback!

The only game I missed when I had season tickets from 86-93. My dad died the day after the Denver game the week before.  Gave the tickets away. Bills I think were on the road the next two weeks.

I was 8 years old, and this was the first game my dad ever brought me to.  The reason I bump this thread tonight is I remember heading into this game, there was a lot of hype about the undefeated (yes, only 4-0) LA Raiders.  The Bills proceeded by working their magic in the 2nd half of this game, and not looking back on their way to their first Super Bowl.  We all know how the Bills subsequently spanked the Raiders 51-3 in the AFC Championship Game.  Are Josh and McD ready to make a statement tomorrow that it’s our time now?

Note that I just started drinking a smooth rum and coke.

There was an electric atmosphere in Rich stadium for that one , and the ending was a real thriller. Tasker block and James Williams return was a great play. Odomes stole the show though, with his outright theft of the ball from Willie Gault. It was an NFL on TNT Sunday nighter, and walking out after the game we really started to think that it might be our year.

Yes it was awesome 😎

Yes it was. Skip Caray did the playby play for a few years , and I was a big fan. I liked their overall presentation and preferred it to ESPN at the time. I think they used to split the season on SNF with TNT taking the early half of the season’s slate of games.

That's always the sign of a major talent gap or a great team. When a team is down and they just turn it on because of pure football talent and skill. Scoring 24 points in ten minutes is a great example here. You can just see the talent jump off the screen.

Buffalo has done similar this year going on a 31-10 run vs Arizona, same thing vs the Titans.

When buffalo is fully healthy or even close to it, they really are the best team in the NFL and can absolutely boat race anyone at any minute.

It was a bizzare joke that ppl didn't see them as a top 2-3 super bowl favorite.

Of course idiots doubted KC in 22 and like beane says there are idiots everywhere

The Bills played 7 games in 8 weeks from 9/30/90 to 11/18/90.  This game is the only one I wasn't at.  Two of the games were road games. 10/28 at NE & 11/4 at Cleveland.  Two of the weeks I did a football doubleheader.  On 9/29, the day before the Denver home game we went to a CFL game in Toronto & on 11/5 we traveled west to Indianapolis from Cleveland & caught the Giants @ Indianapolis game.  For the season I went to 14 NFL games including playoffs & Super Bowl & one CFL game. That's the most games I ever went to in one season & this was the only home game I missed. I only had half a season ticket that year in a seat that I split for 4 of the games and I guess I just stayed home that week.
