I thought that now it's anything over $600.00 now... betting, lottery, ebay, etc.

Haven't been to the casino in a while ... I did think over a certain amount there's a form

I don't know how much validity remains with tinkering of tax laws, but for years I kept a plastic grocery bag filled with losing lottery tickets.  There was a time I was advised that I could submit losing tickets as a 'counterclaim' when I won a big lottery prize...which I am forecasting for 2047. 😕

Pretty sure you get a W-2G to fill out

Casino winnings over a certain amount are taxed by New York State and they will fill out the form and give it to you

This doesn't apply to sports betting.

It's possible to get a tax form for a sports bet win, but it would have to be some insane parlay bet. You only get a tax form if the bet was 300-1 odds or more.

They ask for your players card if you bet more than $1K, but it's for internal tracking purposes only.

Your talking about third party payment processors, like PayPal etc. That it something new but completely unrelated to sports betting in a casino with cash.

People were telling me that it was changed so I wasn't sure

And the government says all gambling winnings must be filed so I figured a number would trigger it ... And people told me 1k

I dabble 😆

Nate Diaz has made me a good amount on betting submission wins

Ahhh, Nate Diaz.  The man is making so much more money now being Jake Paul’s punching bag than he ever did in his MMA career.

I was doing pretty well there for a bit betting on closely lined fights.  Lately, I’ve been killing it in multiplier DFS contests.  Been cashing checks just about every week.  The Singapore card was my worst day in a while.  Wagered $45 and won $60.  We’ll see how Paris goes today.

I was all over Gane.  I think the there was some recency bias at work here because of the Jon Jones loss, but I never thought Spivak had a chance.  Seems like everyone was convinced that Spivak would take him down and control him, but I was thinking that Gane was too physically imposing to be controlled by Spivak.  Spivak isn’t Jon freaking Jones.  😂

I was also on BSD, Oezdemir, Charriere, Ange Loosa, and Nora Cornolle (my dog pick).  I played 3 contests.  Wagered $60 and won $150.

So I'm changing up my Friday night plan...

Taking Colorado straight up vs Nebraska

And Kansas straight up vs Illinois

Parlayed a very good +167... I'm hitting these Friday night

Than OU -16.5
