The guys who aren’t roster locks, being Shane Ray, Jordan Phillips, Cam Lewis, ext, don’t have much trade value. I’d rather the team try to hide some of them on the PS than trade them for a conditional 6th. Expand By play last year (when healthy) and by depth chart, Jordan Phillips seems pretty much like a roster lock. On 8/10/2023 at 10:38 PM, Mr. WEO said: on 8/29, there will instantly be over 1000 FA's. Won't be a lot of big trades now I bet. Expand Bean has historically been pretty good about trading players just before roster cutdowns. The idea is if the player is traded, they gotta go there (or not play). Once they hit FA, they can pick their spot. Quote

Expand There's 1 cutdown day--- after end of preseason. Teams are going to be less eager to trade for a Boogie Basham, Epanesa or other fringe vets before they a few preseason games. Teams can't tease their rosters via multiple cut down days as in the past. 1 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Basham or Epenesa. One of them should go. Might fetch a 5th. Then maybe Boettger for a 7th Quote
T master Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Truly i hate to get rid of players that could develop into really good players but that's what happens when you get to where the Bills are you can't keep them all & sometimes when you do like trading Wyatt Teller you make a huge mistake . But who ever they do choose could turn into anther real good player for a team I just hope who they decide to keep will be on the better side of the decision for the Bills this time . Quote

Then maybe Boettger for a 7th Expand Epenesa's clearly the more dependable player between he and Basham. He's also on the last year of his contract, so the return wouldn't be worth it. He's not going anywhere this season. Basham could be a "change of scenery" type move that could be potentially interesting to another team and he has multiple years on his deal. He'll also be on the outside looking in when Von returns anyways, as we wouldn't keep 6 DE's. Between Von, Floyd, Rousseau, Epenesa, Lawson, and Basham - one's going to go and it's probably going to be him. Edited August 11, 2023 by BillsFanForever19 3 2 Quote

Curious to know who might be a trade option and who we might target in return. IMO, all eyes will be on the LB position in the first two preseason games. Does the current LB competition look solid or will it be obvious we have a big drop off/liability at the position outside of Milano. Do the Bills keep all their DE depth? Would you trade a CB? Any surprise trade candidates? My opinion is the roster is too deep at certain positions to not expect a trade. What says you BillsMafia? Expand Depends on who is available from the other side.
