Bob in STL
Klecko was very good, not great. Same level as Smerlas. Steve Tasker was great in his role, a better all around athlete, and more of a game changer than either Klecko or Smerlas.
Gregg
Joe DeLamielluere, Dwight Stephenson, John Hannah. All of them are in the HOF. All faced Klecko twice a year since they played in the AFCE. All of them said Joe should have been in the HOF a long time ago. Joe D even said that Joe Greene and Joe Klecko were the two best he ever faced. When your peers from rival teams are all saying he should be in then I would trust their opinions over media or fans. They played the game and against him so they would know. Probably the only time a Bill, Dolphin, Pat are all on the same page trying to get a Jet into the HOF. Klecko deserved it. He was the leader of the sack exchange and dominant at 3 different positions on the D-line.

With an automatic 1st Down from the 1? Who cares if it moves only 6 inches, new set of downs is the most valuable!! It was already 1st and goal. That's why it didn't matter to him
Johnnyp566
I can’t judge Klecko bc it’s well before my time but the hall of fame is watered down. There should be 1st and maybe 2nd ballot and then that’s it. If you can’t make it in 2 tries then sorry you don’t deserve it. Deion is right - it’s the best of the best. The ref misidentified his number on the call. https://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-jets/post/_/id/63658/famous-giving-him-the-business-call-from-jets-bills-game-turns-30-years-old https://fb.watch/mg77H9ULbQ/?mibextid=Nif5oz I stand corrected! Dunno why I first thought it was Klecko. Can't refute an actual video. Ole Ben did get it wrong stating it was #99. If he is in, why not Gastineau? NY sack exchange. Anyway, still don't believe a guy like him is now in the HoF when Bills fans have an innovative player who literally changed the game and is not in the hall. The Man was also MVP of the pro bowl and still gets overlooked.
