A pass catcher that won’t cost us 30m aav after he’s an all pro. We’ll be just fine as long as the OL hold up and Dorsey improves 2 Quote

Now he is permanently relegated to the 3rd team. It seems like Dodson is the leader in the competition but I worry about him. When Edmunds missed the 2nd half of the Minnesota game, Dodson was his replacement and looked awful IMO. It was a big reason Minnesota was suddenly able to move the ball at will. Nobody looked as bad as Bernard did last year. Even Epenesa, Basham, and Johnson looked better than Bernard did. 10 hours ago, oldmanfan said: Milano tends to miss some games each year with injuries, so having Williams backing him up there is a good thing. As for MLB you know Klein can play that spot on running downs, and we'll see between Bernard and Dodson who gets the most snaps. My guess is on passing downs McD is going to go with a lot of 6 DB/1 LB looks anyway, with Milano on the field. As for 2nd CB, I think we'll see Elam a lot depending on what McD calls. If they want more one-on-one Elam has that skill set, whereas Jackson and Benford will play more in zone. having three guys competing for one spot is a lot better than having none. I agree with your 6 DB 1 LB idea. That puts the 7 best defenders on the field on the back end in obvious passing down and distances. You can still blitz a safety from this group if you want to send 5 guys. 1 Quote

Why do you think he does? Without Allen what has he really accomplished? If Browns or Jets take Allen he would be out of a job by now. He has as many misses as he does hits. Bills could do a lot worse but Beane is not infallible. 30 minutes ago, NewEra said: They used their 1st rd pick on a pass catcher that will be one of the focal points of our offense for the next 10 years. Yes but if he was in the competition he would get more reps. Since he’s gotten almost nothing I think he’s vet PS. No one is gonna pick him up so he’s an easy stash. Quote

They don’t want to overload him by having him learn 2 positions- and a rookie at MLB calling defense in the huddle is risky. Too early to panic on a rookie late 3rd round pick. Tulane is still D1. And he had a good senior bowl. Not playing him or trying him at MLB is crazy. Quote

I had back surgery in November of 2021 and quick sudden movements can just throw it out easily. I can train at the gym hard....completely good. Then I can drop my wallet on the ground and when I go down to reach it....out. Now I'm walking around like I have to poop all day. Unfortunately I suspect that playing NFL OT is even more strenuous than picking up a wallet, and probably subjects the back to more unpredictable and undesireable forces than a carefully controlled gym workout 9 hours ago, Royale with Cheese said: One training camp, 7 practices in and you've already determined Williams a waste. 9 hours ago, Tom Donahoe, GM said: One can be right now and then and still be a turd Somehow I felt these two posts just complemented each other and went together. Coming off 17 bum seasons, there’s a good chance Beane would’ve done good Enough to stick around. He’s not inept. He’s been really bad drafting rd 2-3 and that is what is keeping this team from being a champion. There’s a lot of real estate between being a champion and being fired You don’t know what would have happened if Allen was gone. What if he would’ve drafted Lamar? Maybe he would’ve found a way to draft one of many solid young qbs. You’re acting as if he 💯 would’ve failed in the quest of a franchise QB. But you have no clue who he would’ve taken. 5 minutes ago, JaCrispy said: Same…part of me is keeping my fingers crossed…but part of me wonders how long it will take before the team realizes they need to upgrade… Seems like they’re blinded by the RAS and believes in the individual. But its more likely he would have taken Rosen, Mayfield, or Darnold if Allen was gone. GM that took Mayfield - fired GM that took Rosen and Murray - fired GM that took Darnold- fired Miss on a first round QB is a career death blow. Never ever have I said he was inept. I just push back on the he is a genius nonsense and that he is infallible in some way because he drafted Allen. Quote
