Dan in Owego Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 For me it is Bert Jones, man what a true talent saw him live in 1980 greatest arm i ever saw next to Josh and Elway. Shoulder injury robbed him and us fans of a longer career but hey man the 70's football wasn't for the faint of heart lol. colts 1 Quote
Dan in Owego Posted July 30, 2023 Author Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) Lot of Josh in here. Edited July 30, 2023 by Dan in Owego Quote
4merper4mer Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Bert Jones is a good choice. I’ll take an odd mix of Gary Danielson, Kurt Warner, Jim Zorn and Mark Brunell just because I found myself rooting for them more frequently than against them. 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) Despite the fact that Favre's reputation has been obliterated I have to be honest and say his on field play is up there as my all time favorite. Manning was about the most surgical player outside of Brady I've ever watched. As a more outside the box answer Steve McNair was always way up there for me Edited July 30, 2023 by thenorthremembers 1 1 Quote

Sitcom math tells me none of them could rise above 30 in PFF rankings, and Madden is even worse. 🤷♂️ 2 1 Quote

I wonder how many other lists would be 50% lefties. Love the Danielson mention - underated imo Quote
SinceThe70s Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I was 100% behind any QB that I thought had a shot at beating Brady. Quote
Special K Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Randall Cunningham....he was a great QB in his time, but he would be an absolute beast if he played in today’s NFL. He and Josh Allen have a lot of similar traits.... cannon arm, elite athleticism, and tremendous scrambling abilities. 1 Quote
SoTier Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Terry Bradshaw. The Steelers won 4 Super Bowls between 1974 and 1979 after spending decades as one of the NFL's bottom feeders, and TB was their offensive leader. 1 Quote
Another Fan Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Bernie Kosar Over 2 decades removed from the rivalry has made me appreciate Dan Marino more as well Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) I always liked Steve Grogan. Often in competition for the starter's job, often relegated to the bench, and often called upon to save the bacon when the Patriot starting QB stumbled. Edited July 30, 2023 by Ridgewaycynic2013 Quote
Nextmanup Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Wow, lots and lots of REALLY odd choices here! But hey, diversity is the spice of life. My favorite non-Bills QB? I HATED HIM at the time, but it would have to be Dan Marino. I think he is my most respected QB of all time. The guy was unbelievable. And that quick release! 1 Quote

Agreed. On the field, Favre was fun to watch. He was like a kid playing sandlot football. While some guys say, "It's a business," Favre's play said, "Yeah, but it was a game before it became a business." Josh has that quality too. Quote
Gugny Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Prior to his coming out of retirement, it would have been Favre, hands down. But his stint with the Jets was just the beginning of the world finding out what a supreme douche he is. My choice is Peyton Manning. 1 Quote
