So, what happened on the 528th day?   

 

I didn’t go to UB and left WNY when I was 17. But I know some of those old bars because in WNY at that time 16 was usually “close enough” to go out and drink pitchers with friends who might be at least closer to “legal”. My how the times have changed!

I used to go to Molly's Pub a lot. Sucks that there was a killing there after I left the area. Guy got pushed down those stairs and there was a cover up with off duty cops or something

Molly’s (next to Wilson Farms).  Some kid was thrown down the stairs there by a bouncer maybe 15 years ago and died from his injuries.  Place was shut down a few years later…as were PJ Bottom’s and Third Base)

Was working at Stanford then. A med student  from OKC that was studying in our lab.  Had a sister that worked in a building  across the street from the Murrah Building. She was ok but it blew out all the windows in the building. She called him he first  chance she could  and then he told us. We heard about it  before anything was on the news.

I was at UB from 78-82.  The first year, I was stuck at Ellicott at the desolate Amherst campus.  After that I moved to Main St.  Then they started moving the engineering classes to Amherst. But  I stayed on Main St.

Places we we went to:

PJ Bottom's

Third Base

Cassidy's

The Library

Sutter's Mill

Central Park Grill (CPG's)

Those were the usual hangouts. Plus floor parties in the dorm lounges and house parties.  We went to the Playboy Club once and saw a girl from school working as a bunny.

Yes, I actually did study while there.
