Doc Brown Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I'd laugh so hard if Rodgers's arm fell off as quickly as Peyton Manning's did. 2 Quote

SCBills Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 What’s to stop a team, especially in NYC, from saying “take this pay cut and we’ll make it up to you with X, Y, Z endorsements”? Obviously it would have to be implied, because the NFL would likely destroy a team if they found out that to be explicit, but this is pretty random, and strange, of Rodgers to just give up $35M. If genuine, good for him… his cap hit after this year is still a problem for the Jets, but it’s not a poison pill franchise cap reset post-Rodgers like it was setting up to be. 1 Quote

gjv Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 WOW! Didn't see that coming from Rogers. Joe Douglas just found some shopping money. Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Yeah, I is a nice brainer now, unfortunately. They are signing Cook. Quote
Drew21PA Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Maybe those night retreats have him a conscious and he feels bad for ripping off teams this isn’t going to end well for him or NJ Quote
uticaclub Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Didn't he have a cap hit of over $100M next year? This probably just lowers that Quote
ALF Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 It looks like Rodgers forced his way out of GB by demanding that big contract. Quote
frostbitmic Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 That'll be the best thing he ever does for the Jets, he won't win them a post season game. Quote

Nephilim17 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I hope he's deliciously average and they are in cap hell in a couple years with no QB. Quote
NewEra Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I expect them to make a move to an OT soon. Dunno if that OT will be starter quality…. But I expect something. If not- I don’t like their chances of winning the division, let alone a playoff game 1 Quote
Buffalo Super Fan Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Is Aaron Rodgers going to get younger? That is what everyone is missing he is a 39 year old man on the football decline. The New York Jets have the potential to be in last place. I don’t think Aaron Rodgers is going to be great he is going to Bret Favre New York Jets not Green Bay Packers years all washed up. Green Bay Packers don’t get rid of someone if they think there is anything in the tank there is nothing there in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo Quote
