What should be the award be for someone who constantly complains about how the Bills organization is run but also has an OTW thread dedicated to how well orchestrated and superior the New York Yankees are?  Delusion award?

You mean what is the award for a realist fan of the greatest MLB franchise(by a lot) that actually plays in the state where he lives and pays taxes?    None necessary.  Most Bills fans that follow MLB are naturally Yankees fans.   Common sense really.

But you do deserve a nod......

"Bad take specialist who randomly roots for an MLB team in a different state and where Buffalonians absolutely hate the NFL team"........... @4merper4mer

Congratulations you've unseated the recently re-closeted and take-improved Boston pro sports team fan @Nextmanup by crowing about your Missouri Cardinals organization as they sit like 15 games below .500.  Damn that balanced schedule!

Side note.........there are a lot of self involved, narcissistic people we have posting in this thread.   The objective here is to give props to the people who have made an impact this offseason.   Preferably for good reasons.   Stop asking to be called out for bad behavior.  For shame.  Tisk risk.   'Tis better to give.......

The Yankees are not a well constructed team. The Bills are one.  You seem to inexplicably believe the opposite.  Next up:  Josh Donaldson > Josh Allen????

FWIW I think you should root for whatever team you like.  But rooting for them and assessing them are different things.  Calling the current version of the Yankees a well run organization is comical.  But hey, they swept the Royals winning by the skin of their teeth each game.

Oh... okay.

On what criteria are all of the accolades based on?

The criteria is individuals or topics that significantly impacted the experience on TSW during the offseason.   Nobody created any content that you found of exceptional quality or thought provoking or funny or useful?    I get if you feel like you aren't in some perceived clique and are offended by those circle jerks.........I got half those people blocked and they don't really provide much football content anyway, IMO..........but this is a pretty limited timeframe of performance.......not a lifetime achievement award where @Royale with Cheese would definitely double pink-eye due to PDA's with @teef.

You speak as if there are no other variables that affected the seasonal outcomes.  Winning or not winning a Super Bowl isn’t based on one or two things.

so do i get the "person that ticked off NewEra the most award?" lol

As a Royals fan please leave us out of this. We are the worst team in professional sports and despite drafting at the top for years have no players in the MLB top 50 prospects. Basically we are allowed 2x world series runs every 30 years and go back to irrelevance.

You brought all your prospects up.  Some of them have potential but I’d agree that the results have been disappointing,  Too bad the Yankees don’t have much to offer. Could you imagine what they’d give up for a guy whose name sounds as Italian as Vinnie Pasquantino?

Lol, not even close.  You won the freaking World Series in 2015.

And it's sad that Yankees fans are resorting to their string of "winning seasons." With their payroll discrepancy it would be an absolute shock to have a losing record. Maybe they can hang a banner for that, lol.

A well run org is one like the Rays.  A team that consistently competes without the massive payroll advantages.  Not a team that just throws money around in the most idiotic way possible.

For a small period of time with Moore they had a good strategy and did what small market teams should which is develop young talent and mix in prime talent through trades. Then Ventura passed who was their ace and they spent money on vets in the worst ways possible and it was over. Overall across 30 years they are at the bottom with the Pirates as worst orgs in baseball and sports. Now the new owner is more focused right now on the stadium and it will not be an overnight fix so time will be the great determiner, but when the MLB has more chances to make the playoffs then ever you still can't even have fun of being in the hunt in KC.

I understand US sports culture is Ring or Nothing obsessed as validating success, but realistically that is an atrocious way to view how strong a team is. The Rays like you said have done wonders with smart drafting and development despite nothing as a payroll. The As until recently were the same. I have thought the Eagles since Loria bought them have been a model NFL team for two decades and they have been rewarded with a ring finally. The Chiefs themselves were pretty good prior to Mahomes and then it hit. Consistency, a solid plan, and patience is why the Steelers have had success basically every decade and the Lions have been well the Lions.

The Royals have had 4 winning seasons following the strike year of 1994. They have also had 6 seasons with 100 or more losses. That is truly terrible. The Pirates are in the same boat - 4 winning seasons since 1993. I grew up a Pirates fan and they are the only team I have ever abandoned. That's because it came out that during all of the losing, the Pirates were in fact making a lot of money despite ownership's claims that they were losing money. I found that unforgiveable. They were literally profitable and weren't willing to spend anything to try and build a contender. So I became a Yankees fan (partly because I lived in NYC by this point because my son has been a big Yankees fan since he was little).

It is beyond depressing that a team with the history the Pirates have and a stadium as nice as they have is consistently an abomination to the sport. Nutting is probably top 3 worst owners with Snyder gone.

Good thread...I have to say I think IMHO the overall MVP of the offseason has been @HappyDays. Happy filled the biggest void we had, and did very well at that, in really stepping up in the absence of Yolo to keep us informed all offseason with news, developments, etc.  Lots of great contributions and insights from a lot of the usual suspects, but for me @HappyDaysis the one person I can look at and say they really elevated themselves this offseason in way that had significant impact on the rest of the posters experience on TSW by getting information to us consistently and fast to discuss.

So kudos to you @HappyDayson stepping up in the absence of a key contributor!

There should be a category for "Best Feuds," to include ongoing arguments and even stalking (which is sanctioned in some instances).

@BADOLBILZ and @Alphadawg7 should get consideration, but they seem a bit too polite and subdued to win the award.

Perhaps trophies or other small prizes should be handed out at a tailgate. I am thinking one for each category (perhaps cans or bottles of beer), and the winners could say a few words.  If winners cannot attend, the awards could be accepted by proxy.

Hahaha, while we are honored to be nominated, I don't even think that would even register on the TSW feud meter, heck, we didn't even disagree on everything 😂 just some silly banter in a couple threads.

However, there are some real doozy's around here whose clinical obsession with certain posters or each other border on needing therapeutic intervention 😂
