The Avenger Posted July 15, 2023 Share Posted July 15, 2023 (edited) TBS is playing The Wizard of OZ this afternoon and I'm not sure how they did it but they made an 84 year old movie look great even on a 65" HD TV. Not sure what they did to remaster the film but it's impressive - I had no idea they'd be able to take a movie that old and make it look good on modern technology - kudos to all those behind the scenes people in the industry who give us such things! Nextmanup Posted July 16, 2023 Share Posted July 16, 2023 Ironic that I would see your post just now, as JUST YESTERDAY, totally randomly, while driving, I thought of the flying monkeys and also the cowardly lion, both of which scare the hell out of me to this day. There are scenes where the lion is down on all fours, with his arms/hands on the ground, kind of hopping around, with his big tail sticking up in the back and I swear to God, it scares the hell out of me.
