They're in Raleigh next Saturday. We go to the beach. Id considered waiting and leaving after the rest of the family to go.

But they've toured the last few years so I'm hedging I'll have another chance.

They started a tour last year to promote "The Tipping Point" but who knows if they'll release another album and whether they'll remain together (they broke up for 8 years previously).

First wave has been covering their album since it released. It's so underwhelming.

The title track isn’t bad. Thankfully they only played three songs from it.

I was surprised that there were nine songs of theirs that I know/like.

I have been watching their set list. While I always go to see the band play the songs I know from them I always put a lot of value in them performing covers. In Canada the other night they did one of their only few covers (Radiohead's creep) which are sometimes awesome. This value alone is a big reason I'd want to see Garth Brooks live - I was a major fan until Chris Gaines.

So far their set list seems super cut and dry. That's not a bad thing.

Just looked up the version on Youtube (from Laval Quebec).  It was good except for not doing that signature guitar part leading into the chorus.  They didn't do a cover in our show.

Just got home from the show. Loved it. Loved their new stuff, which shocked me. Glad I went and I’d see them again (at the price we paid) in a heartbeat.

Saw them at Mohegun Sun casino last weekend for $62 apiece.  Great show.  I had never heard of the opening band (Cold War Kids) but they were pretty good.

Cold War Kids are kind of a big deal. They have hits.

Which beach? I'll be in Carolina Beach in August.

Atlantic beach. We are looking to buy out there. It's part of the inner banks.

Terry's SPAC has nothing to do with his own net worth.  A SPAC is a shell company that raises funds to pursue an acquisition.  Investors fund the SPAC by buying shares on the open market.  SPAC's have 2 years to make a deal or return money to shareholders.  Its basically a bet on the management team.

in 2020, SPACs were the hottest thing on the market.  3 years later, almost every SPAC that closed a deal is worth significantly less than par ($10).  The market has soured on SPACs.  Looks like Terry's SPAC allowed holders to redeem shares for cash as part of the shareholders agreeing to extend the life of the SPAC beyond the initial contractual life of the vehicle.  This just means there is less cash available to Terry to close a deal.  He can still solicit outside investors, raise debt, or fund it himself if there isn't enough cash left to close Abacus.  I haven't seen an indication of deal size or how much $$ the SPAC raised.

This is correct. Mostly.
