For the same reason I always just say Ike B as can't spell that one either.  At least Groot has an established nickname or he'd also be on the list.

Need bodies for training camp and preseason games.  Maybe a team gets a bit lucky once in a while and finds a late-bloomer or hidden gem who makes the Practice Squad or REALLY lucky and one of these guys makes the 53.  But most likely training camp fodder to take reps.
