muppy Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) yeah Tied on a great pass and shot by las vegas 2-2 I don't fault the goaltender on either of Vegas' goals. Sabres can still totally win this game Edited March 3 by muppy Quote

Dr. Who Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Yeah, Knights are missing four forwards. I don't care. We are rolling them. Time for the storied end of season charge to 9th place, but at least they are entertaining again. Quote

Entertaining works for me for now. We dont have much choice as fans. watch or move on to something else. I am happy too have hockey back in my life especially the Sabres. And I'll watch the cup series too I think. ROLLING THEM INDEED 💃🏿🎉😎 6-2 yay 🙂 Edited March 3 by muppy 1 Quote

ExiledInIllinois Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Stanley Cup Chumps. Easy Western Conference teams... Beat the Las Vegas Golden Showers in first game 5-2 earlier in season. 😏 Same thing in that game, Sabres poured in 4 3rd period goals back in December. Can't we play the West all the time! Gotta winning record! Quote

Gotta winning record! Great game but not a winning record yet. Someone mentioned earlier if they had the scoring from last year with the goaltending from this year we'd be in a real good place. Quote

I was wondering about that 4OTL/SOL Okay. But you're wrong. They have 62 points. 29-28-4 29×2= 58 + 4 = 62 OR: 31-30 +4 points instead counted as 1/2 wins 1/2 losses. Why can't that reduce down to: 31-30 = 62 points. The Sabres now have a winning record! Edited March 3 by ExiledInIllinois Quote

Irrelevant, really. The issue with the Sabres is not reaching the playoffs and as the now 25th best team in the NHL they are BURIED behind 5 teams for the last wild card and 4 of those teams have games in hand on them. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, they are just playing better because the pressure is off. 1 Quote

No they don't. Again the OTL's are there to give them a point for going to OT...and losing. They're still 29-32. 1 3 Quote

muppy Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) FYI in case anyone is interested on Page 1 of this thread there is a link with Sabres game schedule 2023-2024 on it. Since I am here anyway it saves time from needing to search elsewhere. Easy to find Post one March game schedule is a bit wonky. Edited March 4 by muppy Quote

ExiledInIllinois Posted March 3 Posted March 3 7 minutes ago, Doc said: Yes, they have 62 points. But they also have a losing record. How is 31-30 losing? They don't have a 29-32 record because that's only 58 points. They now have 62 points. 4OT/SOL is equal to 4 points. Or two wins. 2 losses when reducing the overall record down to just wins/losses. Your Canadian style math assumes games are worth two points but that’s not true. Wins are worth two points but many games carry a three point value. 1 Quote
