Another Fan Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Every damn day of late feels like I walk into a soap opera where I work. And well imo the whole “Josh Britt” stuff has a soap opera feel to it. I never really followed soap operas but I will admit to really liking Kassie De Paiva a lot. A former soap actress. Very beautiful and good actress. Funny personality in real life interviews as well. Had leukemia but seems to be doing OK. Quote
Nextmanup Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I definitely don't enjoy watching soap operas on TV. Haven't thought about them in probably 30 years. A number of big time actors/actresses have come up through the ranks via soap operas. Quote
Rico Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Many years ago, I tried watching Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman when it first started, but couldn't get into it. Loved Fernwood Tonight though. Before that, I wanted very badly to watch Dark Shadows, but the ABC affiliate (Ch. 7) wouldn't carry it. Maybe they had to decide between that or Commander Tom. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 The only soap opera I watched growing up was called WWF 1 Quote

I never got in to general hospital soap but remember the luke and laura drama as my sister watched after school before I could have the tv to watch M*A*S*H. Quote

muppy Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I was an avid Young and the Restless watcher for decades like mid 70's until about 5 or 6 years ago I waned off. I used to avidly watch that show with VCR tape recorded for when I got home from work for years. 1 Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Everyone knows that there was one true soap opera for men in the 1980s and most of us were dialed in week after week. 1 Quote
John from Riverside Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 If you don’t watch Mexican soap operas, you’re missing out The women oh my God Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 In college, we’d head over to a Main Street watering hole after class for a pitcher and watch All My Children … we aspired to be Tad Martin, enjoying the “charms” of girlfriend Liza and her hot mom 🤪 Quote

Just Jack Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 In high school, it was Guiding Light, since it was just starting at the same time we were getting home. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Following all the Steff Diggs stuff...and then sprinkle in some of the Jack Eichel stuff....I just came to the realization following a pro Sports team is indeed following a Soap Opera! Soap Operas for dudes 😄 1 Quote

ExiledInIllinois Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 This scene always kills me! "Kevin's a skunk." "Kevin gets all the girls." "He sure got Nikki." 😆🤣😂 9 minutes ago, Gugny said: My buddy and I used to watch General Hospital after school. Did you guys cry when Laura got married to Luke? And... Speaking of BS... What was up with that Mikkos Cassadine "weather machine!" I'd like to see him deal with GlobalWarming! 1 Quote
