If and when the Jags ascend, it’s not because of their schedule. It’s because of the coach fit and a young, deep, talented roster. Also because of a QB who might very well become the next guy behind only Mahomes and Burrow as soon as this season.

Josh Allen not in the same sentence ??

No. He hasn’t accomplished anything at least compared to Mahomes (obviously) and Burrow. He’s still too much of an erratic imploder. If he’s able to overcome Beane’s OL this season, then perhaps he creeps back into the top tier conversation. We shall see.

…..according to you. Just one more opinion posed as something more than that.

So what has Burrow accomplished over Allen? Besides having a defense that didn't let him down to get him into the SB?

People are amazing at how they let the media form their opinion on players.

Burrow has made a Super Bowl, that’s all I meant. Sure there’s context, but that simple fact carries weight in these kinds of debates. (Allen was a disaster in the playoffs last year.) Your point about media is lazy.

They did get hot in the playoffs...A dream come back from nowhere win against the chargers, followed by a close one at Arrowhead.

Lawrence was one of the best QBs in the league during the second half of the season. His improvement is the factor here above all else. The question is whether his trajectory continues.

No one ever talks about this for some reason but the Bengals would have won the Super Bowl last year and the AFCCG this year if Burrow had played just a little better in each of those games. I like Burrow, he's a great QB and he has single handedly changed the narrative in Cincinnati. I just don't understand why a lot of analysts pretend he has had nothing to do with his team falling short the past couple years.

I thought it was going to be third of Mahomes’ 14 Super Bowls?

It’s going to be the first ever three-team Super Bowl. They’re not even inviting the NFC. Well, except the Lions, they might invite the Lions. Oh, they might invite the Giants too because Daboll the best head coach ever. What about Jalen Hurts? I’m glad you asked. The Eagles are going, too. It’s going to be the first ever 29-team Super Bowl. A battle royal. Everyone is invited except the Bills… and the Pats (finally)… and the Raiders. The Raiders can’t go. I’m a little drunk.
