BillsFanNC Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 @The Frankish Reich misses the point .....again? Who is shocked? NOBODY should apologize to the woke mob ever. Least of all a journeyman pitcher. Tell them to F off, get released anyway and become a hero. 1 1

SectionC3 Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Who cares. Business decision. He has a right to his view, but not his paycheck. That’s the way capitalism works. 1

You are Aaron Rodgers. Back-to-Back MVP and future Hall of Famer. You can say a lot of things and never worry about being waived. You are Anthony Bass. 35 year old career replacement level reliever and future Christian high school pitching coach. Don't piss off your boss. Life is simple. Kyrie Irving says perhaps the stupidest and most offensive things ever. But when he's on the court, he's still one of the best point guards in the game. He will have a job. Anthony Bass is in the "shut up and pitch" category of journeymen.

I am left handed with a nice curve ball, but when I was 12 I did not want to practice it to learn how to locate it. My dad tried so hard also but I wanted to play football which I am not nearly as naturally good at.

Remember when there was a minor brouhaha about Josh Allen's high school texts? He was the 7th overall pick, the future franchise quarterback (we hoped). Now if Jake Fromm had similar texts revealed? Different outcome. Sorry, not everyone gets the same breaks. Anthony Bass would've been cut as soon as he blew a couple leads in a row, just like he's been cut 8 times before.
Orlando Buffalo Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I actually completely agree with Frankish on the business decision part of the Anthony Bass situation. The guy is not the guy you show up to watch and he brought unneeded attention. He decided he wanted to get involved and every decision has repercussions. I can disagree with the decision and recognize their right to make it. Your talent had better outshine your controversy no matter which sport it is. 1 1

I guess you're right, I mean they drummed Kaepernick out of the NFL for speaking his mind, would they do it differently if his name was Joe Montana? 1
BillsFanNC Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Again the point is that he shouldn't have apologized precisely because he was JAG on the team. Once he committed the thought crime he was a dead man walking. He should have told the Blue Jays and the rest of the woke mob to simply ***** off and at least keep his dignity in the process. @The Frankish Reich moved the goalposts as per usual. 2
