Dad had seasons for the Bills and mom and my older brother had no interest in going so I went to almost every game as a kid from 74-78. Dad also had 1/2 season's for the Braves for a few years. Center court Reds. Awesome seats. Rick Martin, OJ and Randy Smith were my guys Quote
Boatdrinks Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 1980 to 1995. Watched NFL, NHL and NBA plus NCAA football and some MLB. All were much better than the last 20 years and certainly better than today. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted May 17, 2023 Author Posted May 17, 2023 I just watched the 30 for 30 about the Lakers-Celtics rivalry and would have to say that has to be the best era in NBA history Quote
major Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 1985-1995. My bills were great, my Knicks were great, MLB had some classic games and players, Detroit bad boys, lakers vs Celtics, Michael Jordan, Laettner, 85 bears, etc… It was a glorious 10 years 1 Quote

dpberr Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 The 90s, especially the early part of the decade. All of the teams I followed - Bills, Spurs, Pirates, Twins were all good, and sometimes great during the decade. I also look back fondly at how the networks did games back then in the late 80s-early 90s. Summerall/Madden. Enberg/Olsen. Costas. Musberger. O'Brien. NBC had Bill Walsh calling games. 1 Quote
Ned Flanders Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 1970s...started the decade as a Raiders/Vikings fan and went to the regular season opener at Rich and was immediately hooked. Became a Sabres fan when Bobby Orr left the Bruins. Been an Oriole fan since day one and while they won the Series in 1970, they were always in contention throughout the decade. Quote
