I’ve got buddies from downstate who usually make it up for the Giants game. Keeping an eye out for rumors on when that one will be scheduled…anyone else hear anything yet on NYG?

The only Giants game confirmed so far is...

They are really overdue to do that for Dolphins/Bills.

2023 Almost has to be

Dolphins at Bills in Sept/Oct

Bills at Dolphins in Dec

Yep. Last time Bills played late in Miami was 2018 the famous Charles Clay Drop game.

So Mami keeps all 9 home games in their hot weather, and gets to play KC in a non-hostile environment, with Hill not returning to face his former fans. While Buffalo has to face KC in Arrowhead. Sounds fair.

Between gifting Miami a neutral site KC game plus playing a Jags team that doesn’t have to travel for Bills week and whose bodies are already accustomed to UK time… it’s Not fair! Not fair i say!

I thought the same thing — Miami in September is a given.

But interestingly, playing at Miami in September is a new trend for NFL schedule makers. In the 30-year span between 1990 and 2019, the Bills only played at Miami in September a total of six times: 1990, 1998, 2003, 2006, 2014, and 2015. However, the Bills have now played at Miami in September for 3 straight seasons: 2020, 2021, and 2022.

I'm hoping they buck the trend this year, but my guess is that given how the rivalry was ratcheted up last year, the Bills will once again be at Miami in September.

Yeah I remember looking up that stat last September. I’m cool with September on Thursday, Sunday or Monday night.  It’s not like this isn’t a big time matchup that the world wouldn’t want to see.  Even a 4pm game would.  The September 1pm games in Miami are the only games I have a real problem with

Subjecting the whole country to an NFC east matchup on baby Jesus’ birthday. That’s just wrong.

The cowboys could have been involved so it could be worse.

I thought Jets-Giants week 1 MNF was confirmed, as well?

That was a suggestion by the New York Post about a month or so ago because it would fall on 9/11. The league hasn't said anything about it.

I expect 3-4 prime time games this year, and personally, I am ok with that.  The NFL can shine the spotlight somewhere else...

I would be shocked if this is the case.  I prefer 1PM also but I expect the max or maybe one less.

Both the players and us fans deserve a warmer weather game next Dec…let’s go NFL!

Looks like Jets @ Giants on MNF 9/11 won't happen.

I think that’s smart. Putting the NY teams against each other in 9/11 seems wrong

Seems like fans were trying to talk that into existence which does happen at times, but usually is just fluff.

If that report is right about the Cowboys @ Giants week one on SNF then I bet the Jets get on MNF. I definitely think the Jets will get on primetime week 1 with Rodgers first game as a Jet.

That day we played Miami, I think Tampa also played at home, 4 pm.

Players were having some issues, but nothing remotely close to what our guys were dealing with.

Im almost surprised that 1 pm games in Miami/early season are a thing.  4 pm is still tough, but at least the suns impact on the field drops as you get deeper into the second half.

Yeah, the whole make the Bills play in the heat in September and the Dolphins play in the snow in December is way overblown. Both regular season games were decided by 5 points. I'd like to see Bills vs. Dolphins on Monday Night Football like the classic Kelly/Marino games.

It became infuriating hearing about the Sun. Had Buffalo won Bills fans would've been touting it as one of the all time gutsiest wins ever etc.. and never shut up.

So apparently Miami is not a super great draw TV wise right now. I was reading that when they played the Chargers in what shouldve been a big draw game with LA and MIA the ratings lagged for what they hoped.  So some of the issue is the market unless the team is rolling just isn't very good for tv..

Just need the Sauds to bankroll an expansion.
