Royale with Cheese Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Please no one spoil it for those who can’t watch it at 7:00 tomorrow. I don’t want to know who we pick until I watch it and want to be surprised! 2 Quote

jkeerie Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Just watched it. Really good to see the Beane work and the unity between coaches and scouts. Thanks to the OP for letting us know it was on. 2 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 It’s your standard fair draft video nothing surprising but nothing bad that was shown Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Few things stood out for me: - I love how involved Terry Pegula is without taking control. He's knowledgeable but lets his football guys make the decision. - I realize footage can be spliced anyway they want it and I am certain a lot hit the cutting room floor....but Beane has a real good feel for the way boards will fall. - On one of the plays they show for Torrence they show him pulling and leading a run play. Maybe not as nimble as some...but gets to his spot and seals off a wall. Great play. - Hard not to like Dorian Williams as a person. Skepticism aside...he will be one that's easy to root for. I think he'll surprise some here. - Everytime I hear Beane talk about Shorter I can't help but to think of things he had to say about Hodgins last year. Likes the size AND that he can play ST...which is one big reason Hodgins was expendable to them. - Torrence has a cat named CeeCee. 7 Quote

This was the first time I've seen that play myself and the fact that he saw that guy coming from around the edge while the other defender was straight ahead was a thing of beauty. He basically said "ok, we got the line, it's on you to do your job now" 1 Quote
TPS Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 A lot of conviction in those first two picks. You hear the words "we got out guy" a lot, but given that interaction between Beane and Gray, it sounds like they got their guys in both R1 and R2. 2 4 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Just the skills these guys bring in conjunction with the skills we lost makes for big changes coming for the Bills this season. We’re being written off by some pundits as having missed our best opportunities, but this team will be different. Better? Worse? It remains to be seen, but I’m in. -as usual. 2 Quote
NewEra Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 I think we hit 2 home runs in rd 1 and 2. I think Torrance is gonna be a force and I love his demeanor. He’s a great fit. Kincaid is going to the HoF. He might even be the first player to be inducted before he retires. Waiving the 5 year rule because of his superiority. 🧌 3 Quote

I like that they go for the picks they want rather than just taking what is available especially if no one will make a reasonable trade with them so they trade back. Quote

For the most part, the draft is a crap shoot. What it gives us is entertainment with all the drama surrounded with trades etc. In the end, very few of the drafted players are on the team roster long term. 32 teams missed 5 times (and some six times) before Brady was picked by the Patriots. 32 teams skipped on drafting Kurt Warner sending him to pack bags at the local Grocery store. On the flip side, Sam Bradford made a cool 120M dollars in his NFL career without winning anything.... Looking forward to Training camp and see how this team will gel together. Quote

GunnerBill Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Was one of the more boring videos of a Bills draft room over the past few years IMO. There was less Beane in discussion with his key lieutenants, which I think is always the interesting stuff. Clearly they were thinking from quite early on Kincaid might be a guy that dropped to them. That of course doesn't mean there weren't similar conversations on the receivers, only for the receivers to be gone. I actually liked the "is there anything you like?" question from Terry to Beane while they were waiting for their 2nd round pick. "I'd take the guard" that was a cool moment. I think when you see the interaction between Terry, Beane and Sean you can't help but think this regime is probably on slightly thicker ice than a lot of fans might want to believe. 1 3 Quote
17islongenough Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 It looked like the Cowboys took Overshown from Buffalo 1 Quote
