I suspected that the pending civil suit would prevent any team from signing him at this point.  There could be details that come from it which might lead to a bad PR situation at the very least. Different rules for 6th round punters vs. franchise QBs and all was my thinking.   So it is interesting to me that the Jets are giving him a shot now even though that means I was wrong.

He is not on the Commissioners "bad boy list" so I don't think a possible Civil suit is much of an obstacle.

Wish it wasn’t the Jets but I’m happy he can get back to work and try to rebuild his life/image after having his character shredded through the media circus. I remember being pretty active in the monster thread when all this drama went down and I could understand the fans that just wanted the drama away from the team cause the focus was Super Bowl.  I was on the side of wanting the league to step in and put him on the exempt list (was quite a debate about if they could even do it since the incident was from college)

But then there were those who read HER attorneys accusations as facts and wanted him under a jail immediately and boy were they active that week.

impossible!  the trial hasn't even stated yet!!

The Jets will need a Punter more than the Bills have for the past several seasons.

Yeah, a team is working Araiza out.  Imagine that!

Yes....the "chemistry" with Bass....lol, come on.

It's a thing.  Kickers like to be comfortable with their holders.  And for the Bills, a team that rarely punted in 2021, holding for kicks is more important than the punts.

I think the joke, in extremely poor taste, was that the girl was so underage that...you can finish the rest

I know.

That sucks,  but at the same time,  best of luck to him.  I never thought the story added up and I'm glad to see that NFL teams are apparently willing to give him another chance.

Will they make him shower separately? Everyone seems to forget that he admitted to having at least one STD on the phone call with his accuser.

WTH relevance is that?  Is he guilty of something contracting a STD?

You're arguing semantics and are the only who had a problem with what I said.  Why, I have no idea, but it's silly.  You and everyone else knows very well that had these bogus allegations not come out, Araiza is on the opening day roster.  You could give a thousand "maybes" but the Bills weren't cutting him at such a late date and jeopardizing his chemistry with Bass for anything but extraordinary circumstances, like this was.

Dude whatever.  You stated something that was 100% false.  Own it.  It doesn’t really matter how many people believed it.  It was false.

The only demonstrated fact about the Haack cut is that Haack was no longer a viable option for the Bills.  ALL of the rest is speculation/probables.  I could list some probables that refute yours but there really isn’t a point,  The probables I’d list actually came to pass….admittedly with the benefit of having hindsight….but your probables, stated as facts by you, proved untrue.

In this thread I am frustrated that he is making me agree with you.  I stress that it only in this thread and I will not be coming around on your assertion that “the deflator” is a common weight loss nickname.

He still admitted to having sex with an underage girl. And he alibi for not being part of the ***** was:

“Gilleon told CBS8 in San Diego that the witness on whom prosecutors based their opinion that Araiza was not present during the alleged gang rape was a “buddy.””

Got it. Case closed.

It's not illegal in CA when the girl falsely claims she is of age and lying.

Also you're trusting the defense attorney to be 100 factual in a statement to the press.

Further, the institution of American justice is innocent until proven guilty. You have no respect for this process and thus should have no respect given to you.

My heart breaks for the way in which so many Americans agree with your opinion.

Why are you so keen on rooting for Arazia to be a rapist? That's what I don't understand about people in your camp.

The Kicker is very comfortable with the next guy who showed up--just like the guy before him and before him.
