Ethan in Cleveland Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 There is nothing interesting about punters Quote

There could be details that come from it which might lead to a bad PR situation at the very least. Different rules for 6th round punters vs. franchise QBs and all was my thinking. So it is interesting to me that the Jets are giving him a shot now even though that means I was wrong. The teams don’t care about the pending civil suit, but Ariaza should. You know her lawyer will be after every penny of his contract regardless of the validity of accusation. Quote

Why imply something you can just as easily state? You straight up said he made the final roster, which is false. Nobody stopped you from saying he “would have made” the final roster which, while still an opinion and never a fact, was at least a defendable position. You didn’t. My use of the word “maybe” acknowledges the Carolina statement was opinion. Leaving it out would have made it seem as if I was calling it a fact. This is how languages work. Words have meanings which when used properly communicate ideas. When used improperly they cause misunderstandings, confusion or incorrect conclusions. When Tim Graham stated that there was a “direct quote” from Araiza he was demonstrably wrong and personally I can’t think of a reason other than stupidity, agenda or antagonism. Being better than Tim Graham is a pretty low standard I’d hope we could all achieve even when we disagree. Quote

The Jets are actually a good team to consider him. Prior to Rodgers a weak offense and stellar defense. That leg could keep them in games. Im also of course glad he’s getting a chance or maybe more to get back on track. This is why I’m not quick to demonize players or coaches when allegations come out. It’s always best to just let the system work it out and then make a judgment. Edited May 24, 2023 by machine gun kelly 2 Quote

Why, I have no idea, but it's silly. You and everyone else knows very well that had these bogus allegations not come out, Araiza is on the opening day roster. You could give a thousand "maybes" but the Bills weren't cutting him at such a late date and jeopardizing his chemistry with Bass for anything but extraordinary circumstances, like this was. 1 Quote

Will the New York/Jersey media leave the story be or will they make it a season long story that serves as a distraction? Will Lazard get "hit in the gonads" again today? Will Saleh FINALLY reveal the secret to how he gets his head so shiny? All this and MORE on the next episode of "J-E-S-T SUCK SUCK SUCK" I can answer one of your questions. The Jets will need a Punter more than the Bills have for the past several seasons. 27 minutes ago, Doc said: You're arguing semantics and are the only who had a problem with what I said. Maybe it was offered and declined. But at least he could be on PS. not as good as being a starting punter but start to give back some of what was lost. What? If you sign a player, he can't negotiate with other teams. I think he would quickly get poached off the PS and as for returning to Buffalo, that ship has probably sailed. Quote
