Buffalo itself is small but there are 6-10 million within a 3 hour drive. The show creates it's own market. (You think people would stay away from a Taylor Swift show in Buffalo?) The issue has always been the venue. Big tour shows often have two identical stage sets and they want those sets put up, torn down and moved on quickly. Having one field level driveway is a killer. 1 Quote

The other key component is the Ralph is sprawled out where the new is more less stacked rows. In the upper deck it’ll feel more like you are looking over the field instead of being laid back feeling. Denver stadium is built much like this . If you have ever been you can compare to that . So does the stacking make you feel more involved and closer to the action, or more like being in a helicopter hovering?? Quote

Gillette Stadium is built the same way. You feel like you're getting an aerial view from the upper deck. 1 Quote

Wacka Posted Thursday at 10:05 PM Posted Thursday at 10:05 PM UB has a stadium. They won't be tearing he stadium down two months after the Bils stop using it. More like 14 months. The Bills leave hopefully Jan 2026 They will start tearing it down March 2027. They will be stripping the bench seats plumbing, etc. for recycling. My brother works for the county DPW and they wi be using some of their trucks. The will be filling the hole in with crushed slate and dirt that are currently sitting at ECC. when that's done they can start razing ECC. 1 Quote

That’s very interesting, and something I never realized. I think this is ultimately a Taylor Swift conversation at the end of the day though. I can’t think of anyone else the Buffalo market is missing out on. It’s not like the 70’s when you could fill the stadium all summer with popular acts. Only a few classic rockers, pop stars, and country singers play stadiums. The current country stars who are stadium acts will play anywhere, and the classic rock stadium acts have very short tours at this stage of their career. Quote
boco357 Posted Friday at 07:27 PM Posted Friday at 07:27 PM I saw where they are not imploding the old stadium till after the 2026 season, in 2027, but didn't give any reasoning behind it? Or maybe I missed it. Quote
Wacka Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Need space for all the trucks, etc. needed. Better to do it in the Spring and early summer. 1 Quote

WotAGuy Posted Friday at 11:45 PM Posted Friday at 11:45 PM They are going to make a mint selling parking on the old stadium field. Quote

My assumptions, first, keep it up just in case the new stadium is not ready in time. Second, need time to strip everything that can be removed to be sold or scrapped for money. Third, don't want to lose more parking during the season for the equipment that will be needed to demolish and haul away the debris. 2 1 Quote

I think its because of where you parking. Its taken me 1.5 hours to get into the lot and 2+ hours to get out. Far more congested without Lot 2. Quote
