boater Posted Thursday at 04:10 PM Posted Thursday at 04:10 PM At first, I was outraged that the new stadium was 10000 seats less. But now I'm at peace with it, it kind of makes sense in the bigger picture. Seats were limited in order to make the experience better: bigger seats, more room, larger concourses, no trough in the Men's room. I can't wait for the new place to open. It sure isn't like the old days with Rich Stadium seating an NFL high of 80,000 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted Thursday at 06:54 PM Posted Thursday at 06:54 PM (edited) Havent been to game in quite a few years since moving out of the area. I will be at the first game in the new stadium. Edited Thursday at 06:54 PM by Mat68 1 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted Thursday at 07:11 PM Posted Thursday at 07:11 PM Loving seeing the progress! Curious if they’ll build walkways above the road to make it easier to cross the road from the parking lots to the stadium and vice versa. Quote

They already close Abbott for pedestrian access, not sure they would bother building elevated walkways. Quote

Asked that yesterday while choosing my tickets. Yes, Abbott will remain closed and there are no plans for elevated walkways. I do believe elevated walkways could be used at certain locations in the lots. We park Lot 7 and are at the mercy of the crosswalks delaying traffic egress. It would be great if they could figure a way to allow traffic and pedestrians to flow, not sure they can. Quote
Doc Brown Posted Friday at 09:56 AM Posted Friday at 09:56 AM Will all the seats have cup holders? That's the only thing I really care about. Quote

When they raised the parking from $10 to $20 that’s was supposed to fund the walkways. Guess what never happened? Quote

I've heard they are tearing down and filling in the old stadium. But then I heard they might keep the lower bowl intact to use for events. 🤷♂️ I figure they will bus players across the street. The last thing you need is for Josh Allen to get hit by some yahoo while crossing Abbott. Quote
Just Jack Posted Saturday at 06:31 PM Posted Saturday at 06:31 PM (edited) You can see the sections with roof coverage, how the rain came down on the sections under them. I'm assuming on game days the players would park by the stadium. If you have FB, this guy whom I believe is part of the construction crew, posted a bunch of pictures from inside. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1YUeeqR1BV/ Edited Saturday at 07:20 PM by Just Jack 1 1 Quote
Steptide Posted Saturday at 06:47 PM Posted Saturday at 06:47 PM Sorry if I missed it somewhere along the way - I know the first year in the new stadium will be 2026, but is there a projected time that the stadium is supposed to be finished? Like will this be done a year from now? Seems like it's moving along pretty well Quote
Draconator Posted Saturday at 06:57 PM Posted Saturday at 06:57 PM I'm just bummed that the Bills denied the National Chicken Wing Festival to be held in the new stadium. It's shifting back to Sahlen Field in 2026. My band plays the festival every year, and we were so looking forward to playing in the new stadium. 1 Quote
Chicharito Posted Saturday at 07:46 PM Posted Saturday at 07:46 PM I’m not totally convinced that unless you are in the 300 and 400 levels that you will be protected from the elements. I guess I’m ok with that , my main talking point is the wind diversion that has been talked about. Wind is what really sucks. It doesn’t matter how many layers I wear wind cuts through. That whole area is a wind tunnel. Quote

First I have heard of this. I wonder if they are trying to keep being inside the new stadium as an "exclusive" feel for the initial stages There's rumors that the Sabres will be getting a Winter Classic in the new stadium when it's ready to roll 1 Quote

Drew mentioned this to Shawn a couple of months ago. 1 Quote

WotAGuy Posted Sunday at 12:55 AM Posted Sunday at 12:55 AM Why would they need to be in the practice facility on game day? They will just go directly to the stadium from the team hotel (assuming the Bills stay as a team the night before home games). It’s called a practice facility for a reason. Quote
