LabattBlue Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) There is only one reason why a fixed roof stadium is not being built…Pegula didn’t want to pay for it. It has nothing to do with what the fanbase wanted(allegedly). This was just some made up justification for Pegula to not have to pony up the extra cash. Edited November 18 by LabattBlue 3 Quote

Nah, he just didn’t want to be like those wimps in Detroit. Quote
SoCal Deek Posted November 19 Posted November 19 So for those who wanted one it appears that the retractable roof in BOTH Dallas and Indianapolis are now broken. Quote

UConn James Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Wow. Northwestern U. (located in Chicago) is building a new stadium for what is the NYS & Erie County contribution for New Highmark. I get that there’s a difference b/w college and the NFL but that difference amounts to almost three times the cost? Quote

Overhang snow load, natural grass maintenace, Wind Confusion!.. The idea of the technology building is cool - separate that out so that it doesn't take up stadium space - and able to be expanded outside the confines of the stadium. My son is a Construction Engineer here in NC and this year before a game we walked over and were looking at the stadium and he casually mentioned he submitted his resume at some point - I'm not even sure when - "I figured if I got hired I could just come up and live with Grandpa for a while" Edited Friday at 04:42 AM by stevewin Quote

Pretty awesome look at the new stadium. I see so many comments about "why didn't they build a dome", but this gives alot of insight on how the stadium will avoid the elements and alot more 1 Quote

If it doesn’t they’ll just heave to make adjustments to the surface and install what they have now. Quote
