It was a generalized statement.  No reason for him to say names.  I’d assume Poona Ford could be one since they were linked to having interest in March.

He made a similar comment yesterday regarding the DL. I’d guess DT, DE and Latavius Murray

 

 

Who I want: Ingram, Donkey Kong Suh

At this point, I'd like to see them add someone like Justin Houston or Melvin Ingram to help with the pass rush.

Thought maybe he might have specified before or after what positional groups he was happy with the draft complete. Obviously we all feel defensive line is going to be one of the two but I wonder if both or there’s another group he feels needs an extra presence to push, mentor or be a safety net if what they have doesn’t work out.

After Monday any UFA signings no longer count against the comp pick formula. There will be a rash of signings around the league (as there is every year).

I know that one is RB Latavius Murrary. I heard he will be signed as early as tomorrow.

I'd like that too, but we have the equivalent of a Natty Light budget right now.

 

So I think Ngakaoue is likely too expensive as well.  

 

I'd expect: Poona Ford and possibly a RB like Murray.

 

I'm not expecting any moves over $2m, and likely rules out trying to make any "upgrades" but focused more on depth

And I can confirm that I am not the other one. I am not expected to sign tomorrow or any day thereafter.

Beane did say is his presser that he is working on this and used the "2 million" term.  One was from a question about the DL.

I easily can see the other being a RB.
