I'm not counting Mancz as a realistic option. Maybe he beats out Ike.... but Ike was probably 6th on the IOL depth chart anyway.

Perhaps they will try to work D. Edwards at RT as we kind of discussed earlier in the off season.

I actually presume Edwards is done with the concussions.   I have zero faith in Beane's flyers.   McGovern contract they can get out of after next year.   Only thing I have less faith in than his flyers are his surprise healthy UFA signings.    The runway is probably about done on Ike Boettger too.   I saw guard as more of a need in this draft and there was more depth there than some years so never really considered they would add less than two interior OL.

Maybe. Maybe Edwards is done. I hope not.

Agree this was a deeper guard group through day 3.

ESPN praising the Bills which normally they bypass and go back to talking endlessly about the Jets or Cowboys.

To be honest it’s kinda nice that the Bills really have been under the radar all off season just an afterthought now in ESPNland.

Coming out of this draft with zero defensive line help is wild to me. Past two years in the playoffs we haven’t been able to get to the QB and Von is coming off a torn ACL

Still 2 monster DTs out there

I mean I been on this board for quite a while now.  You should know I am not a negative poster lol.

That’s why it seemed odd...

Doesn’t make sense to draft a DT now. You want to be able to sign multiple higher priority DTs as UDFAs. If you draft one now that may push another to another team.

Take two guys that we have good depth in that you know wouldn’t sign here as UDFAs because our depth is strong

Was that for our two remaining picks this year. I stepped out when we were on the clock I think, or close.

I’ve been messing around the house so I’m now 💯 sure, but I think it started with trading down with Washington.  I think we traded that the Cody ford pick for a later 5th and a 6th.  We then traded that 6th to Houston for another 6th and a 6th in 2024. We then traded that pick to the rams for another 6th in 2024 and (I think) a 7th this year.

So I think Beane basically turned Cody Ford into a 5th and 2 6ths next year….. but I could be wrong.

This last pick is solidifying my belief that Bates is being highly considered to replace Morse next year.

Morse doesn't need to take all the 1st team snaps in camp and some should go to Bates plus all the 2nd team snaps.

If Bates is the plan, he needs lots of reps at Center.

Broeker with his versatility would be in competition with Ike.

I am NOT going to criticize good competition on the OL.

One of the nicest things about this draft is that Dolphins arguably had the worst draft of any team.  And their idiocy leading to forfieting RD1 , was probably an important factor in Kincaid falling to the Bills.

The over under on games started at finished this season is definitely not 17.

I am all for stocking the larder with OL prospects.

We keep taking guys late that we try to stash on the practice squad, who gets poached by other teams. We're populating the NFL in our late picks. I like OL depth, but we've got to be able to roster our guys. We need a DT.

I wasn't too encouraged by Edwards' introduction to the WNY media.   Had a real "I probably couldn't play today" vibe.   I have no expectations there.

I wouldn't be averse to selecting Ekiyor as well if available.  Liked him too.
