Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Can't complain about taking a guard in the second for sure. Beane has clearly gotten the memo that the team needs help on offense. 6 1 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Is David Edwards competing with Spencer Brown at RT? 1 Quote
muppy Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 O'Cyrus the Virus??? lol what a great moniker that's gonna stick I Love it 4 Quote
Bangarang Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 People probably wouldn’t have been too upset if he was taken at 27. Getting him at 59 is such a gift 6 3 Quote
Bills Bud Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 O'Cyrus Torrence Weaknesses He lacks flexibility and doesn't move the quickest. This limits his ability to stay in front of pass rushers. He also can be late getting to the second level as a run blocker and also could be unsuccessful pulling at the next level. Torrence is best used in a phone booth. Seems like more of a pass blocker, which is fine Quote
Dibs Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) I'm thinking this draft is rigged. First Kincaid drops to us....and now Torrence! Dorsey has gotten his dream picks. Love this. 🥳 Edited April 29, 2023 by Dibs 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) We were one of the worst short yardage teams last year (at least relative to how good our offense was). We’ve effectively solved that. We will slam Harris behind Torrence and convert it every time. Maybe 1/5 times Allen keeps it and goes to the edge. Edited April 29, 2023 by DapperCam 2 1 Quote

MPL Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Christian Wilkins and Quinnen Williams have given us trouble. This is big. 2 3 Quote
Niagara Dude Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 I did not like our first rounder because the TE position had massive depth in this draft and no need to give up a 4th when we have holes to fill. I loved this pick and it was a massive home run , this guy can play and has elite size. Has something like 1500 drop backs without giving up a sack. 1 Quote
Rc2catch Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 I did want the Hyatt guy but just for family reasons.. Happy they added some fresh blood to the line. They needed some more nasty Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Our OL went from horrible to stacked very quickly. What I like about this is it probably sets Bates up to take a year on the bench behind Mosrse to master Center. Man... we have 5 guys who range from probably decent to possibly great starting Guards now. Loving the draft so far! 6 Quote
Bangarang Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) Is he our new RG and McGovern our new LG? We also save a ton of money by cutting Morse. Could our new interior be: McGovern - Bates - Torrence Edited April 29, 2023 by Bangarang 1 Quote
No_Matter_What Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 I have no idea how good he is. But he was apparently much higher on consensus big board and he is an OL so I LOVE THIS PICK. Finally we are trying to invest in OL properly. Love it. Quote

Just wanted a guy that can protect Allen and blast holes open in the run game. That's Torrence. This will prove to be an excellent pick IMO. There won't be that quick pressure in Allen's face this year. 4 Quote
OZBILLS Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Now THIS is a pick. Know nothing about him. Never heard of him, but a big G...yes please 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Someone described him as a "bodyguard". That's what we need - someone to keep Josh vertical and healthy! 6 1 Quote
