BigDingus
So I'm not posting this to suggest Kincaid isn't going to be good or the Bills made a mistake, I'm just curious as to why you guys think that so few 1st round TE's have gone on to be great NFL players. Here's 2 articles discussing the topic - https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/first-round-tight-ends-have-underperformed-where-is-the-best-place-to-find-them https://www.profootballnetwork.com/tight-ends-first-round/ I think the 2 biggest issues have been teams' inability to utilize them, followed by injuries. I know Kincaid has had some back problems, but I'm more interested in how Dorsey plans to use him. We all envision the 2 x TE sets and throwing him in the slot, but none of that ensures he'll get the opportunities. A lot of the criticisms fielded at our RB's & run game can also apply towards the TE's. At times it felt like Knox was just an afterthought, just as Nyheim Hines & Co. were. It's great to have the weapons, but it doesn't mean much if we're not finding creative ways to get them involved. Anyway, I'm extremely excited for Kincaid & think he'll make an impact regardless. I'm just curious if anyone who knows more about these previous 1st round failures might have some insight as to why they failed.
djp14150
Is he a TE or a WR?
