Gugny Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 He's already making friends in Albany. He's part owner of the Albany Empire (Arena Football) and he got into a fight with security and was told to leave. This was the season opener ... in Albany ... and he got kicked off of the field. https://www.tmz.com/2023/04/18/antonio-brown-involved-in-altercation-w-security-guard-at-albany-empire-game/ In videos that Brown posted from the game, you can see as he was shaking hands with kids and waving to people in the stands ... an MVP Arena security guard told him he needed to get off the field ASAP. The clips show the guard telling Brown he had to leave the area "right now" over and over again. "I'll think about it," Brown can be heard saying in response ... before adding, "We ain't going nowhere." Things escalated from there -- in Brown's videos, you can see he told the guard to "make me" get off the field repeatedly. "It's my field," Brown said. "I'm the owner." The two men then argued back and forth for several minutes. 1 Quote

A missed payday, several suspensions and a misdemeanor charge has clouded the immediate future of the Albany Empire, the city’s arena football team. The Empire organization has not paid players or coaches since April 21, according to one of the team’s top players. Coach Damon Ware confirmed the lack of payment and said Monday that he has left the team. Ware, along with wide receiver Darius Prince, quarterback Sam Castronova, lineman Brandon Sesay, defensive back Dwayne Hollis, linebacker Nick Haag and lineman Melvin Hollins were among the Empire personnel who did not receive room keys for the team’s Albany Holiday Inn hotel. The acting team president said the players have been suspended due to an incident on the bus returning from their weekend game in North Carolina. The team is supposed to be paid the Friday following each week’s game; no one received direct deposits on April 28 ahead of Sunday’s game, and the team played the Carolina Cobras in Greensboro, N.C., without pay, one player said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Alberony Denis, the Empire’s acting president, said the lack of payment was due to issues with the payroll processor, which had put a hold due to a problem created when former team owner Mike Kwarta and most of the former front office left following Kwarta’s sale of his ownership stake to former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who now owns 95 percent of the team. The team has paid the processor, Denis said, and the players were told they would be paid Monday afternoon. Brown, whose career has been marred by controversy, joined the team as co-owner in March with father Eddie Brown, a former Albany Firebirds player, coming onboard as vice president of operations. Can't help but wonder if their lack of willingness to pay out was more due to the departure, or, who they had to primarily deal with going forward. AB is known for not paying bills on time and now that he's been out the league 😳 As an entrepreneur your reputation certainly precedes you. Im in major sports business circles and NOBODY wants to do any sort of business with AB. He made his bed... Quote

The way teams watch tape on younger prospects, they should watch all the tape available on guys like this. Watching the tape of his off field antics would assure ANY team in the league taking a hard pass on this goof. AB is a certified clown and nowhere near trustworthy, nor is he loyal. If any team takes the risk on signing him they are totally deserving of what they get! he would style with OBJ... Quote
